The Bud Light Thread

Their life is probably garbage with or without the porn.

It was no different than when I was a child. We still got our hands on an old nudie magazine from the 1970’s.

That’s still no argument for teaching it in schools.

To be fair, addictions hit people differently. One of my friends literally does coke a few times a year with zero addiction. On the other hand, another friend got hooked on vaping and drinking very quickly to a scary degree.

On average, though, I agree haha. If watching a porno ruins your life, then I don’t know what to say.

He is trolling you

I know of two guys who have turned down sex from willing, attractive wives, turning to porn for sexual gratification until their wives got so disgusted that they left them.

Or guys who can’t even get hard with real life women, or at least can’t “finish,” because it’s just not as extreme as what they can find online.

Maybe you don’t think porn has had much of an affect on you, but I wouldn’t downplay the huge amount of harm it has actually caused in many people’s lives.

I could probably find a video of 20 dudes choking, slapping and whipping a girl in about a minute if I wanted to. That’s a bit different than a 70s Playboy centerfold with some exposed nipples. It’s definitely not healthy or normal for young people to be exposed to what they’re being exposed to now, and it’s definitely far more extreme and accessible than what any other generation has been able to find.

Not just me, but also my brother, cousin, friends, and fraternity brothers. I totally believe it messing certain people up, though. I just think the internet overrepresnts them since people who aren’t messed up by porn don’t post about it online. So the only ones posting are those who were messed up by it (or know people who were).

I can definitely only talk about myself and those I know, but this wouldn’t mess me up past the age of 11 or so. I saw more bizarre stuff at that age haha.

My first instinct is to say that none of you think it’s affected you. That doesn’t mean it hasn’t. But obviously I can’t say that for sure.

But is it a healthy and realistic depiction of sex? Should children (11 y.o.?) be exposed to gang bangs, rough sex, and BDSM-style stuff?

Even if it did affect me as a teen, after I started having sex it became obvious that porn wasn’t an accurate representation of it at all. So any effect that it could’ve had would’ve been gone.

I sincerely can’t think of any negative effect it even could’ve had. If anything, it just made me more curious about the real thing. However, puberty made me curious about sex like 100x more than porn did.

Not realistic at all haha. I don’t think stuff like BDSM and the others are innately unhealthy, though. I prefer romantic sex with my wife above all else, but I know people who just naturally prefer BDSM or getting pissed on.

Kids really shouldn’t be exposed to sex at all to preserve childhood innocence, but if they are going to be exposed, I do agree that it’s preferable for them to see romantic sex between a loving couple. But good fucking luck regulating porn haha. Ideally, they shouldn’t be seeing anything and instead discover it on their own as puberty hits.

Too many follow up questions but the general answer is no.

Why would you and by whom?

The over consumption of porn is a huge problem for a multitude of reasons. Shit, just look at Terry Crews or Larry Wheels. And as far as the topic at hand, I’d imagine its correlated with the rise in transgenderism. Social contagion and likely sexual perversion from desensitization.

Body dysmorphia is the issue, it just happens to be presenting as sexuality. No need to obfuscate with red herring arguments.

Don’t you mean gender dysphoria?

Not when you’re chopping off body parts.

What happened with these dudes?

Same question, @Alrightmiami19c. I wasn’t sure what you were referring to.

I think I’ve heard Crews had an addiction, but don’t know anything about Larry.

Both, actually. So why intentionally confuse dysmorphia with attraction?

Sorry, but I’m not following.

@jshaving Terry’s story is out there. He’s talked about it a lot. I think it ruined his marriage.

Larry had an addiction to cam girls.

A lot of this stuff gets shrugged off, but it took balls for these guys to talk about it. Our brains are wired for sex and porn can fuck you up just like anything else if you let it get out of hand.

Larry Wheels is a good dude. Everyone has their struggles. I think it is good for strong men to have honest discussions about our shortcomings.
