Well said Bauber
This comment oddly reminds me of the internet back when searching the web was slightly akin to traversing the wild wild west. There was a shock video called the BME pain olympics that more/less contained… exactly what you describe here… I doubt it was real, but who knows.
This is something that isn’t often discussed… that is the seriousness and the degree of invasiveness associated with the operations one must undergo for a transition. Back in the day when the vetting process was extremely thorough the rate of detransitioning was 1% or lower, as you’d be looking at those who truly had intractable gender dysphoria and for this tiny, tiny minority (1/30,000 or less) transitioning was actually in their best interest (yes, I can show statistics and make a good argument as to why a very, very tiny portion of the population can and does benefit from this)
There’s another disorder called body integrity disorder wherein the afflicted individual seriously feels as if a limb does not belong. For those with intractable cases, sometimes surgeons will amputate the desired limb of their patient as otherwise the patient ends up performing a self amputation. Amputating the desired limb frequently cures the condition. This is obviously SUPER rare, but it obviously occurs often enough to be described in medical literature and classified as a known disorder.
Nowadays the rate of detransitioning is around 20%, and ‘detransitioning’ if you are a chick whose bewbs have been cut off alongside the implementation of a healthy, masculine TRT regiment is impossible. This clearly infers the barrier to ‘transitioning’ has lowered, likely in part due to political agendas. The pendulum will swing back towards the previously appropriate middle ground… eventually.
I remember this making rounds when I was in 8th grade. I never saw it, but heard all about it in the cafeteria.
If the truck or tool company advertises it front and center, yes. By making it part of the company identity (in some eyes) they’ve made it part of the brand loyal crowds identity. It’s no longer just a truck. Even if gay people have been driving them.
It’s the whole “in the closet” mentality on display really. And now Miller lite is the fake gf.
No one would care if a commercial had a gay dude in it. People have a problem with the LGBTQ agenda which does not represent how all gay people think as it basically starts from T.
I promise you people with bud light tattoos feel the same way about gays as they do transvestites. And de facto tying their identity to a brand via the phenomenon of brand loyalty is exactly the issue here.
Bud Light didn’t even advertise with Dylan. Or did so very minimally within specific channels. Dylan was an “influencer” and they sent a can to it because it won a sweepstakes challenge. They didn’t push anything. It’s my understanding they followed up with minor advertising via Dylan’s influencer channels. Target marketing. They didn’t force feed anyone and pull Dylan front and center of the brand. If you came across the content, you should check your algorithms….
Dylan then published its own pic with the can and everyone had to dissociate with the gay beer once it went viral.
Same thing would happen with trucks, tools et cetera should the closet door crack enough to put whichever product in the spotlight of public discourse.
“I ain’t driving that gay truck! Soon as I can trade it in, I’m a Dodge guy now. Plus they have Hemi’s and I’ve always liked those.”
Exactly how it would play out.
If you like bud light, drink it. It’s the same beer it always was. It’s ok if you have a beer preference in common with a TikTok tranny by happenstance. It is gross beer though. Hopefully people are seeing the light.
They already say that. Ford allies thinks Dodge & Chevy owners are gay, Dodge thinks Ford & Chevy are gay, etc.
Then when they all get together they chain them together by their butts and see who can “drag” the other.
Its all very manly and not the least bit gay.
And that’s when they’re not getting stuck in the mud for fun.
Its the “thhhuuuk” sound that gets 'em.
So i’m told.
Dodge doesn’t make trucks.
But they all know they should have bought a Toyota.
The official weapons platform for the graveyard of empires!
Ok fine, Ram, even better.
Ram Ranch?
Seems fitting for this discussion.
I think it works!
Honestly I want to know what A-B stock lows are at this point . You know they’ll be back within 2-3 Super Bowls.
Normally I would agree, but I am not so sure this time.
I think they may have fucked the pooch on this one.
My go to gas station beer is Natural Light, one of the cheap AB beers. A couple weeks ago they changed the can to look just like Miller Lite, so people buy their beer by mistake.
I wonder if AB will change the name from Bud Light to something new, like that one tire company from the early 2000s. Or if they’ll eliminate Bud Light all together to take heat off their other brands. Maybe push another beer to Flagship position? What’s the best strategy from here? Something fun to keep an eye on.
