Anyone who knows me will validate that I’m not anti gay/trans/whatever.
I just find the preachy agendas quite frustrating and out of sync with reality

I find the idea of harrassing or bullying someone over sexual orientation or gender dysphoria to be immensely disturbing.
I find bullying to be disturbing in general. It is morally objectionable to treat someone badly over this just as it is objectionable to harass someone who is moderately to severely autistic. Ditto for any trait or characteristic that doesn’t lead to an individual being a danger to society provided the variable is beyond ones ability to control.
I actually think the example of harrassing a moderately to severely autistic individual is worse because they can’t defend against verbal abuse or bullying.
My jokes are intended to be tongue in cheek.
I also find conversion/reparative therapy to be disturbing. There’s a guy by the name of Joseph Nicolosci who pushes ‘therapeutic’ modalities that have been proven not to work
I actually found some amusing stats about his patients the other day. The vast majority of patients he has claimed to have ‘cured’ went on to become openly homosexual down the line
Furthermore, numerous academics approached him showcasing interest in conducting clinical trials (yes… even within universities) because SOME people were willing suspend disbelief.
He declined on all accounts… if you could conduct double blind, placebo controlled studies that would prove your therapy works… why would you refuse?
Various academics went over his head and contacted current and former patients of his. Exposure to erotic imagery + neuroimaging and observed physical response indicated ALL patients were still aroused by homosexual imagery. Not ONE patient was cured
It appears as if you can’t cure gay. Whatever causes homosexuality (genetics, environment/epigenetic adaptation)… it’s not curable… MANY animals engage in homosexual behaviour at a rate similar to that of humans (minority).
While hermaphroditic and asexual animals exist… gender dysphoric animals don’t lol
So beyond my jokes… I don’t blame/harbour resentment towards people FOR being gay/trans/whatever. Similarly to yourself, I take issue with ideologues pushing dogmatic and divisive gender politics
Regardless of whether someone like Nicolosci knows it or not… He is damaging his patients, even if some come to him voluntarily. They come to him voluntarily because their roots typically stem from repressed communities and internalised catholic guilt/whatever leads to the individual believing they are flawed because they are not heterosexual.
If I could get away with anything absent of repercussions I’d break this guys legs and pry his shoulders out of socket, granted the guy is dead now.
I think he is disingenuous and his arguments re all homosexuality being related to parent/child relationships (particularly the father) have zero backing… Of all the gay people I know, most were raised normally. Not that my anecdote means anything… But there is ZERO scientific evidence backing his claims.

Instead, in a fit of depression at the realization that they will never be accepted for who they are, they jump in front of cars, busses and semi’s. Some even taunt cis white males into shooting them.
Its a shame. A society wide shame.

#metoo Chris. When I drink beer, I want to taste it, otherwise why bother? I think I have bought bud light less than 5 times. the only times I have subjected myself to that piss water, was when there was no other option.
What I like about this situation, is it gives me hope. This country’s founding was fueled by alcohol. The Britsh taxes pissed people off because it made “rum” more expensive. Washington’s army was mostly drunk, most of the time, until they ran out and desertions went crazy.
So the fact that it took wokeness messing with our alcohol to snap people out of their slumber is so very American. That tells me the soul of this country maybe suppressed, but the heart still beats deep down inside.
And no, I do not believe ‘any press is good press’. Lot’s of people have had their lives and lively hood absolutely demolished by bad press. I do not think Bud will recover, especially by now. People have adjusted to their new routines after 2 months, switching back would be more disruptive than staying the current course.
An immediate apology would have saved them, now it looks very desperate. They are consulting their manuals on cis, white males from their “stuggle sessions” handbook, pulling out every white guy trope they can find and slapping it on commercials, not understanding they’ve been wrong this entire time.
And isn’t it funny how useless and stupid and inherently evil white guys are, until they decide to stop spending their money. It’s funny because they “think” this is a white guy thing. Playing up white guy tropes have no hope in saving them.

And they are doing nothing to fix the issue…which leads me to believe there is a bigger agenda here

That’s silly and a distraction from the real agenda. Why would some executive care about pedophiles? It’s about money. I’ve read things about social credit score but I’m not knowledgeable enough about it to make any comments on it. But it is about money. Don’t confuse the woke agenda with the agenda of wealthy people. In the end, the woke people want to do away with the wealthy and with corporations.

Yep, that’s it. They even teach this in business schools these days: become the CEO of a malt beverage company so you can normalize pedophilia. Bud Light’s thinly veiled attempt to build itself into a massive selling light beer was so, at this moment in history, the CEO could partner with a transgender individual and America, drunk on suds and reeling from COVID, would collectively say “cheers” and accept pedophilia.
That makes far more sense than a company seeking to make its product attractive to every single demographic in existence. Bud Light will sell its products to Trump supporters, atheists, bible-thumpers, and transgenders alike, and just hope like hell they don’t offend one group will catering to another. And, if they do, they’ll just run a commercial with an American flag blowing in the western winds and try to reconnect with their core demographic.

Even if you believe that somehow the CEO’s are driven by pro-pedophilia agendas, you can sure as hell bet the board of directors, stockholders, and the rest of the company would not sit back and say “The CEO is already rich. Let’s let him market our product exclusively to the pedophile community and see how it goes.”

They never should have responded at all. Instead, they should have just rolled on with whatever their next ad campaign was and conducted business as usual. They stepped in to the arena instead and are now paying for it.
Last week some buddies and I chartered a deep sea fishing trip, and the captain had a giant ass Bud Light logo tattooed on his shoulder. That’s some serious brand loyalty. And there are legions of people like him at NASCAR races, WWE events, Monster Truck Rallies et cetera. It’s literally part of their “totally not a yuppie and I’ll prove it” mentality.
These guys would have had a wtf moment until chatter died and then would’ve continued on. But now their entire identity is in question because BL engaged in dialogue, and they absolutely have to rebel at this point, or else they’re gay.
