Forgot to update this. Made 85 reps at 95 lbs on the amrap set. Legs had more but my lungs were spent!
Jesus Christ…tell me that’s not legit non stop?
You can stand with the bar as long as you don’t rack it yeah?
You can stand with the bar. I think my longest pause was about 5 seconds. I’d crank out 10 take a few breaths, repeat etc. it was pretty brutal though… not gonna lie
Sounds awful
More than a little late to this fiesta. But since the question comes from one of my favorite folks to follow, here are my current weight training goals in order of priority.
- To develop a power look with waist <32". Bigger neck/traps/shoulders and glutes/quads/hamstrings.
- To develop greater muscular endurance and strength in the 8+ rep range
- To be in the 90% percentile of strength in the Big Four for men over 40 years and weighing 150 pounds or less. (approx. goals: deadlift 395 squat 340 bench 260 OHP 180 - all about 35-40 pounds above my end of 2018 PRs)
Woke 176.6
Gonna try to get a solid chest and triceps workout in today. Works still crazy and it’s the wife’s birthday also so we’ll see how it goes.
Construction starts on our Ninja renovation on Monday so I need to finish clearing out the offices, and storage closets to prep for demolition.
Tonight we’re hosting a gymnastics meet for our rec kids, and then doing a surprise party for my wife’s 43rd. It’s gonna be a long but hopefully productive day.

Woke 176.2
Didn’t get a workout on yesterday. Work simply got too busy and then we had the party for my wife.
Think I’m gonna do a total upper body day today. A little chest, tris, bis, back, and shoulders. Well call it a pump session.
I’m still pretty damn sore from legs earlier this week. The second half of this leg program is gonna be tough. Guess that’s how you grow though!
Well the workout got cut short. Only hit back. A huge storm blew in and we took a bunch of damage up at the business.
Our building is about 27,000 sqft and we’re in the processs of getting a new TPO roof. They loaded a bunch of stacks of foam insulation (think what foam beer coolers are made of) on the roof a few days ago. They are probably 50 stacks roughly 8 feet long, 4 wide, and 4 high. Probably weigh less than 50lb.
Anyways the wind picked up and basically tossed around giant 50lb weights. Some flew off the building over the partition wall (48 inches high) on the roof. Some just got ripped to shreds and others smashed some of the ac units.
We were leaking all over the building because the torn up foam clogged up the internal gutter system and backed up all the water coming from the roof.
We had no power, two kids birthday parties going on, giant blocks flying off the building, and a raining ceiling in multiple places. What a mess.
Got in touch with the contractor and he’s getting a crew together to clean up. Holy cow it’s been a crazy day!
Silly boy! You know Texas ain’t gonna let you store stuff on the roof! ![]()
That’s brutal. They’ve been talking about our storms for days. I’d guess Texas is the same. Why would they leave that stuff up there? That’d blow around on a regular day here.
looking bad my friend, hope you’re not going to pay for the damage
Nah, the contractors insured and will take care of everything I’m sure. Just a pain in the arse as it’s happening. Sunny and clear skies today
WOD
clean up for time
Stay safe friend
Well my life’s been total chaos for the past 4 days. We’re full steam ahead with our renovation and the headaches that come with it. I’ve made enough time to get workouts in but that’s about it. Today was a really great session. Volume wasn’t too high but everything felt great.

Poundstone curls @42.5 lbs
I’ve watched the video of @T3hPwnisher doing them with a 45 lb axel quite a few times and I love the staying power. I’ve been doing with my 22.5 lb ez curl bar and it’s hard. Today I said screw it and added a 10 on each side. I was spent at about 60 reps but somehow finished. The last bit is ugly but I’ll say it again… I finished. What a whippin!
Proof below lol
You’re more of a man than me: my axle is only 15kg, haha.
What?!?! I swore you said 45 lbs. well shit now I’m dang proud of myself lol
Nope. I’ve never had a 45lb axle. I have a 25lb one from Rogue, and Ironmind is a 15kg axle. You did good man, haha.
Three minutes of hell right there
What is Poundstone?
