Wait til like an hour after you finish legs and start flexing your quads relentlessly! I want you to get a quad cramp. DO IT.
Man I tried… no cramp. My hami cramped rolling over in bed last night but no matter how hard I flex… no wuad cramp. I’m a twisted sort of way I want to experience it. Maybe one day when I learn your Jedi ways with volume on leg day!
Ah well. I’d be disappointed but there’s more entertaining things going on, like the FIFTEEN YEAR OLD IN THE PHARMA SECTION WHO STARTED A CYCLE AT 2000MG TEST A WEEK.
Well, I know what I’ll be reading on my lunch break today.
I hope that’s a troll! That’s really scary man. He could kill himself with that!
I’m reading it. Its pretty typical dumbass 15 year old drivel.
Messed up hip daughter goes in for deep joint toradol injections this afternoon. Hopefully that will calm things down. I hate seeing her limp around. Doc wasn’t comfortable doing cortisone on a 14 year old but was ok with a deeper injection with a non steroidal anti inflamitory. Wish her luck… sort of glad my wife is taking her to that appt
Can she continue gymnastics with a hip like that? That’s horrible to watch your kid like that.
It sometimes goes months without flaring up. It really never gave her trouble until puberty. I think she’s bout done with gymnastics though. Once she stops with all the repetitive impact I think she’ll be much happier. The little one is still pretty gung ho. She seems to be build a little less fragile.
I can definitely relate to the hip problems. What exactly is dysplasia? What’s going on when it flares up?
I think it’s where your hip socket isn’t big enough for the ball to fit.
@Frank_C @flappinit
Yep her hip socket is too shallow for her femur head. When it pops out it inflames all the tissue surrounding. We’re trying to go the PT route right now to strengthen everything and avoid the surgical option.
The surgery consists of a bunch of micro cuts in the socket and then spacers to try to increase the coverage of the socket. Sounds terrible.
The neck of my femur was too thick and pinching/grinding the socket when I moved. They shaved it down when they repaired my labrum. It wasn’t bad and by far the least painful surgery I’ve had. I was off pain meds in three days.
Despite what you say that sounds terrible
I think making bone smaller (like mine) would be better than expanding things. Unless she continues to experience subluxations or dislocations then I’d go the conservative route too.
It sucks that she might have to quit gymnastics to keep from having future problems.

This would be a non cheat, cheat meal
Looks like good ol fun. What’s a frog jump? Like pushup position then jump your legs in to look like a frog?
Just squat down like a frog and then jump up and stretch at tall as you can. Maybe squat jump would be a better term
Didn’t weigh in this morning. Asked the wife if she could take the kids to school and I slept in. Woke up around 8:30. Took the youngest to school, made breakfast, and bam! Half way through breakfast the stomach virus that has kept one kid home from school the last two days hits me like a ton of bricks.
Needless to say I don’t think I’ll be training or going to work today. At least “crap” like this doesn’t last too long. ![]()
