Extra fat doesn’t actually move the weight but if it improves your leverages then it could result in more weight moved. Often a trade off like harder to get in a deadlift start position or reduced agility or somesthjng
Bodyweight can be leverage but you can’t flex fat.
A lot of SHWs have a hard time getting into position for deadlifts because of the guts.
Why don’t strongman have this problem as much? Because of the wider stance deadlift style?

I mean I have been trying. I did a bunch of Tricep volume in my offseason and have maintained some decent volume throughout my contest preps. My arms are 15 inches as of 10 seconds ago, So that means they have grown .5 inches since Winter Siege.

I put my arm next to a guys in the gym yesterday. We put our shoulders together. My shoulder to elbow was seriously 5-6” longer than his.
We also did the same from knee to hip. I was 3” longer there.
