The 3rd Law of Muscle

Tim set a bottle of the new Surge Workout Fuel on my desk a little while ago. I just mixed it up with Biotest Grape Intensified Liquid Flavoring and it tastes great. I can’t wait to try it with the orange and berry flavors.

The bad news is that he said our warehouse will not be prepared to begin shipping until next week.

good to hear Brian! can wait to place an order.
a friend of mine got the ANACONDA and said that the liquid flavoring is too sweet and he had to use less than recommended. is the flavoring for the new Surge Workout Fuel gonna be the same stuff?

Surge Workout Fuel, ANACONDA, and MAG-10 all use Biotest Intensified Liquid Flavoring.

The nice thing about having the flavoring separate is that each person can adjust the quantity they use to suite their taste. The recommendation is just a baseline from which you can experiment, so it’s not uncommon for some people to prefer more or less than the recommended amount.

Awesome. I’m exited to try this stuff. I have been hooked on your products sense day one. Keep up the good work guys!

We’re updating Surge Workout Fuel and should have it available again very soon.

The new formula will utilize Biotest Intensified Liquid Flavoring so that the concentration of the formula can be changed without altering the intensity of the flavor.

Plus, the larger packaging will include 60-percent more servings.

If everything goes according to schedule, it will be released this month.
Is the only change in ingredients the removal of the flavoring so you can use the liquid flavoring system?

Also, with 60% more servings, do you know how much the price is going up?

Lemonade will not be available at this time, but it’s not unrealistic that Tim and company could release a lemonade flavor if the demand were high enough.

I’d use a lemonade flavor in Surge Workout Fuel, MAG-10, and Anaconda if it were available as the original Surge Workout Fuel lemonade flavor was my favorite.

+1

the lemonade was the BEST! if they ask, put in my vote for lemonade. much easier to tolerate for me than orange or berry…IMHO

The lemonade flavor tasted EXACTLY like bayer baby aspirin. LOL. Insanely good stuff though - I don’t care much how it tastes.

So, ahem…ummmm…when can we expect more?

One of the raw materials for Surge Workout Fuel was slower to arrive then expected.

As a result, it should be ready next week.
I’m going to go with, it’ll be ready when its ready and stop asking myself. Obviously Mod Brian has been trying to keep us posted on what he’s being told, but there seem to be setbacks left and right. I trust it’ll be out soon, I just hope sooner than later in the week. The late week releases are usually less exciting to me since I can’t get the product until at least 5-6 days later due to the weekend.

I am curious about the 60% more servings you stated back on 1/05/10 and how that will apply to the pricing. 60% more is great, but if I’m paying 60% more for it then that is not really an advertising point. $66 bucks for 2 currently, but if I have to start spending close to $100 bucks for 2 (66 * 1.6 = 105.60) to get the price savings on the new formula it may be a lot harder sell to me.

I don’t know the price for the new formula.

Thank you for your quick reply.

I guess its a waiting game then.

Bring back the lemonade and fruit punch!

Just bring back anything… Seeing as how SWF doesn’t contain the dreaded CH… what would it taste like unflavored? has anyone tried it? Or will it too read DO NOT TRY UNFLAVORED???

The new formula is somewhat bland with a little sweetness and tartness before adding flavoring.

I much prefer it with a few drops of Biotest Intensified Liquid Flavoring.

dooes anyone mix there SWF with gatorade or anything like it? does mixing SWF with other drinks/carbs distirt its potentcy?

Surge Workout Fuel is back in stock.

All of T-Nation Rejoice!!

Thank You Brian.

Compare old to new

1 scoop = 30 servings for $33 (when buying 2)
85 calories
21g carbs
13g sugar
120g vit c
7.2g mag10 amino primer
$1.10/scoop

2 scoops = 24 servings for $42 (when buying 2)
280 calories
64g carbs
0g sugar
0g vit c
13g mag10 amino primer
$0.88/scoop

so lets say you double the old to get the same MAG-10 (minus 1.2g mag10 amino primer)
170 calories
42g carbs
14.4g mag10 amino
cost $2.20

compared to the new, which now has 110 extra cals (I think the new is counting amino/protein calories), so really lets just say 22g more carbs, for $1.76 (with a little less MAG-10 amino primer)

Ok. Sure the savings is nice, but you now have to spend $84 instead of $66 to save. And now we are getting an extra 22g carbs. Can the rational behind this be explained?

(Note: you may have to double check my math, I am just looking at an old bottle and an old receipt and comparing to the new)
