I find I’m like this too - but you shouldn’t need the pills TBH. At least in the warrior diet philosophy you shouldn’t need to be caffeinated to be alert, since your body is directing energy that is usually spent digesting towards, um, living. That said, I drink coffee all day - mostly b/c i love it, but probably also b/c I like it as stimulant AND appetite suppressant.

Anyways, I love eating this way and I tried to go off it a few weeks ago b/c my days are so bloody long and I just couldn’t! I kinda don’t like eating during the day anymore. So weird.

And FTR, I do count calories while eating like this and 1300-1600 seems reasonable - I remember you being light on calories anyways, no? (no offense or anything)

Listen to Yo Momma!

Nice work on the cleans! Are you doing power cleans or squat cleans?

Oye am I behind or something? Alisa, you’re doing the Warrior Diet?
Super sorry, my brain’s in a fog lol

Congrats on the clean PR, regardless of power or squat cleans, more than I can do or even care to try haha

I’m eating one meal a day. (I think that’s technically Intermittent Fasting.) My goal is just to keep it up for at least four weeks; the people in the Supplements and Nutrition forum think you’re crazy if you’re not weighing your food but I’m not screwing around with that right now. The right diet is the one you can actually stick to.

Dinner today was cheese, chicken & broccoli, kiwi slices, spinach, and 90% chocolate.

I do powercleans. Never really learned squat cleans.

I might have to take the day off (or just squeeze in a quickie in the afternoon.)

Going to see the boy this weekend. Meh, i’m a mix – on the one hand it’ll be fun, on the other hand, i have a ton of other stuff to do, and on the third hand, there’s the old specter of thwarted vanity. Cazart.

Public service announcement of the day:

I was so, so wrong. Love has NOTHING to do with vanity.

wussy lower body day:

front squats: 10@45, 10@65, 5@85, 5@95, 3@115

RDL’s: 10@135, 10@155, 5@175, 5@185

barbell glute bridges: 10@135, 10@155, 5@175

one-legged DB deadlift: 3x10 each leg @25’s

6 sprints, 30 sec on, 30 sec off.

I’m having a good, good day so far. My midterm seemed to go really well. And I’m down to 136 lbs, which is a number I haven’t seen in a while.

Very nice. Training looks good, congrats on the midterm and the 136. Maybe you should post some progress pix…

Have a fantastic day.

Glad you’re having a good day, easy midterm and new low weight will brighten my day too.

You learn something new everyday. Enjoy.

upper day:

bench: 10@45, 10@65, 5@85, 5@95, 2@105, fail@115, 1@110 (Local PR!)
That is, I’ve done better in my lifetime but I spent ALL YEAR trying to break 105, so I’m celebrating.

military press: 10@45, 8@55, 3/4/3@65

pullups: 3/1/1
wide grip pullups: 5/3/3 with 25 lbs of assistance

lat raises: 3x10@12.5

bb curls: 3x8@45

overhead db carries: 6 gym lengths @27.5’s. Went up in weight and they STILL felt light. Yay.

Lol! I love how 185 RDLs is a wussy lower body day. That’s killer!

Nice benching! Congrats on the PR!

Sounds like everything is going really well! You really seem to stick to your goals, which is admirable.

With the overhead dumbell carry, do you mean “waiter’s walks”? Tried this for the first time the other day and it was tough. Then again, the weight I picked up (not knowing how much to use) was 20kg (44lbs). That was a challenge.

Congrats on that 110 bench! You are doing great in every part of your life, it seems. More power to you.

Sounds like the IF experiment is working for ya. Congrats! Fantastic progress on your bench! When I read Rippetoe talk about how women sometimes only go up 2.5 pounds or less even with newbie gains, that sort of sobered me up from thinking I was going to push my max up real quick. Good progress! Take it!

I think “Waiter’s Walks” are one-armed; I’ve been doing one dumbbell in each hand. Then again, it might be a nice stabilizing challenge to do it with just one arm.

IF is going well; it’s just now starting to get easy, and eating`three times a day just would feel excessive to me now.

Holy crap Cal! I bet that was a challenge!

Alisa, nice work on your sought-after 110 bench!!

front squats: 10@45, 10@65, 5@85, 5@95, 4@115, 3@125 (PR!)

good mornings: 10@95, 10@105, 5@115, 5@125

leg press: 10@225, 3x10@315

barbell glute bridges: 3x10@135

“kettlebell” swings with 40 lb dumbbell: 5x10

Congrats on your bench and your weight loss.

Getting PRs like mad Dahlin, great work.

Did I say that I love the new avvie? Well… I do.
