Washington’s proclamation of the first thanksgiving which intent, like everything else in this nation is long lost. A happy one to all.

NOW THEREFORE, I do recommend and assign THURSDAY, the TWENTY-SIXTH DAY of NOVEMBER next, to be devoted by the people of these States to the service of that great and glorious Being who is the beneficent author of all the good that was, that is, or that will be; that we may then all unite in rendering unto Him our sincere and humble thanks for His kind care and protection of the people of this country previous to their becoming a nation; for the signal and manifold mercies and the favorable interpositions of His providence in the course and conclusion of the late war; for the great degree of tranquility, union, and plenty which we have since enjoyed;-- for the peaceable and rational manner in which we have been enable to establish Constitutions of government for our safety and happiness, and particularly the national one now lately instituted;-- for the civil and religious liberty with which we are blessed, and the means we have of acquiring and diffusing useful knowledge;-- and, in general, for all the great and various favours which He has been pleased to confer upon us.

And also, that we may then unite in most humbly offering our prayers and supplications to the great Lord and Ruler of Nations and beseech Him to pardon our national and other transgressions;-- to enable us all, whether in publick or private stations, to perform our several and relative duties properly and punctually; to render our National Government a blessing to all the people by constantly being a Government of wise, just, and constitutional laws, discreetly and faithfully executed and obeyed; to protect and guide all sovereigns and nations (especially such as have shewn kindness unto us); and to bless them with good governments, peace, and concord; to promote the knowledge and practice of true religion and virtue, and the increase of science among them and us; and, generally to grant unto all mankind such a degree of temporal prosperity as he alone knows to be best.

The U.S. Troop Massacre of Men, Women and Children at Muscogee in 1818, U.S General Henry
Atkinson’s “Battle Of Bad Axe” Troops that also Killed Indian Men, Women and Children. Etc. etc. etc.

I actually like Catholics like you 'Bulis, seemingly erudite, articulate,
a generally agreeable fellow you are, yet if there’s anything that I’ve noticed with
you and most other fine Catholics I know, is this general pervasive melancholy
about present day. It’s almost as if you’re surprised that Biblical Prophecies are being fulfilled
slowly but surely, and you’re sad or angry about as if it wasn’t supposed to happen.

Is he black? I didn’t know. His misconceptions have been addressed like 85,000 times already so I wasn’t going to go over them again. His cluelessness is well documented. Fact is, and I say this every year, the ACLU and ALL the godless lefties would have put the blitz on Washington were he here to say this today. I will say… again… also for the 85,000th time.

What made America great for white people could have made her great ALL people because in my right wing religious extremist view, ALL people are CREATED equal. Which is not the same thing as saying that everybody is the same or equally intelligent, similarly talented etc.

There was NO good way for this to happen and it was bound to take a long time, but of all the bad ways we had available, we chose the very worst. We have sacrificed our freedom as a nation in a doomed from the start quest to MAKE everybody socially equal. MAKE, that is coerce, and freedom are like opposites ya see.

The things black children do to other black children in my city TODAY, make the masters whip and the lynch mob’s noose appear merciful by comparison. That IS NOT an exaggeration. More black people were killed in abortion clinics in the last 2 weeks than in every lynching by white mobs from 1865 to 1965. Guys like Karado, in their simple, shallow shortsightedness find these kinds of concepts difficult.

The God of the bible was responsible for everything that was once good about this nation, including her progress away from slavery. Washington understood that. (yes I know)

That’s Horseshit, The Thanksgiving Holiday is not about that, it’s a Man Made Tradition not
decreed by anybody up in the Sky. It’s a nice tradition maybe, but the Holiday is not in Scripture,
so knock it off with that Neo Apocryphal Man Made Fairy Tale, we should be Thankful every moment
of every day and not Decree just one fuckin’ Day out of the whole fuckin’ year and focus on being
Thankful to God and his providence over nations on that day, one day out of the whole year to do
that sounds like an insult to the Almighty if you ask me.

The reality of Thanksgiving is that most sit around the fuckin’ table
like a Norman Rockwell painting for a moment, many practicing the Deadly Sin of Gluttony, then Uncle Pete and Cousin Roy get hammered on Wine and play
pull my finger with the Pre-Schoolers while they watch the Football Game in the Basement.
That’s happening all over the Country now, and if that’s Sacred, I’m fuckin’ Porky Pig.

I’m sorry, I am a Pig…I was wrong.
Most people after Thanksgiving Dinner will sit humbly in the living room with no
Gluttony beforehand whatsoever, no Alcohol, and sit quietly and be humble to each other.
Television is forbidden, and they’ll compliment each other on how wonderful they look, with smiles
so wide that Grandma’s Dentures fall out, then the Family Dog will grab Grandmas Dentures,
and run outside with them while the Family gets dizzy with laughter.
Then Tommorrow when the Dog Poops the Dentures out, Grandpa Joe takes the water hose and cleans the
Dentures in the Garage, he then quietly pushes them back in Grandmas mouth while she’s napping, telling her later they are the new Dentures he got her as a Christmas Present, but thought he’d surprise her with the early gift instead.

Some people are just dishonest.

No chushin, Karado’s just an asshole. I don’t like a lot of Tirib’s antics as he will be the first to tell you. And part of Thankgiving, a big part, is general gratitude for the things and people you have. So in that respect he’s wrong. Even atheist “whoremongers” or whatever can celebrate a moment of beong together with fellow man and family and friends.

But the thing is, he’s a 100% right about the historical beginning of the Holiday and the reason for the very first declaration of the day in question. Karado, your assertion otherwise shows your historical ignorance–that’s history 101 type stuff, even in state schools-- and your chosen snarky language shows your lack of class. Even people who otherwise dislike Trib around here and disagree with him see that.
