Well come on, that horrid cyclist dented her car! I mean, let’s be honest, poor Ms. Davis had already been through a lot of bullshit that day, and I would imagine she just ‘couldn’t even’. We’ve all been there.

I don’t know about parking 300ft away, but if I were to hit someone and they weren’t gravely injured or begging for help, I wouldn’t render any assistance in this sue happy world we live in.

I don’t mind cyclists if they obey the laws, but if they don’t neither will I. I tend to be more cautious and courteous to those using cycles as a means of transportation as they tend to be much less douchey. Curvy, narrow roads in New England are no places for pelotons.

If someone is about to die you should probably help, however i’d have my phone running video the whole time so there is no he said/she said bullshit.

X100 on keeping cyclist off narrow country roads. It’s dangerous for everyone involved.

Utterly preposterous. The only reason cyclists are a pain in the arse is because they either force you to slow down or use your brain for a few seconds.

the problem is that on those narrow country roads you usually have a lot less than a few seconds to decide between going off the road, going into on coming traffic or hitting some retard in spandex who should not have been there in the first place. It’s insane to me that these people would risk their lives on roads with blind corners/hills and knowing that 90% of of the people behind the wheel are probably texting and clueless.

They used to flock to my town (Sachse, Texas) every weekend and roll in packs like it was the tour de france in full gear, only there aren’t any sidewalks to speak of and no good way to go around them. Every goddamn weekend. I started asking for a roo bar for Christmas so I could just mow them down without damaging my truck.

No.

The problem is that and I quote “90% of of the people behind the wheel are probably texting and clueless”

Not the fact that some guy is wearing spandex and riding a bicycle.

It’s actually quite funny that you’re shitting on folk for going out, doing some training and keeping themselves active, on a website primarily dedicated to people who train themselves.

I have no problem if they can do the speed limit and ride single file…

Around here cyclists only ride on curvy, hilly, one lane roads. I swear it’s like they want to be hit.[/quote]

Having lived in MD for seven years I can back this 100% lol.

Last year at a “Bike Across Maine” event, a guy on bike was hit by a truck and killed. Agreed that narrow New England roads are no place to bike. Bad enough we have moose, deer, and wild turkey to contend with…
