Nowadays replying to a text message while driving is called natural selection.
I predict that the future holds for us a new kind of manslaughter.

I can’t believe people actually do this. They need to just ban phones in cars. Most people have a hard enough time just driving when they aren’t trying to write an essay with a keypad.
I look down to read an incoming text. It takes less time than it takes to change a radio station.
Once i read the text, i can reply without looking at my phone. I hold the phone up at the top of the wheel, so if i have to glance at it to check for typos i can still see the road and the phone at the same time.
Statistically i’m supposed to total a car in my first year of driving, but i’m almost to two and have never even got close to being in an accident.
I find talking on the phone easier, though sometimes when you get off the call even though you’re still heading to where you were going, you forgot how you got there. (I’ve heard a few people say this before, you subconciously know what you are doing, but once you’re off the phone that drive on the phone is blank).
I don’t text and drive - it may take the same time to change the radio station, but I’ve had friends in accidents for less.
RSGz-that’s one reason why I prefer texting, I can remember the drive. A lot of the time while talking while my driving was fine, I don’t remember passing certain points.
Hmm, I guess I am one of the few that absolutely refuses to touch a cell phone while driving. Whether I receive a call or text, I wait until I stop before reading/responding. Lost too many friends in car accidents and I would be devastated if I killed someone over a phone call. Just my two cents, though.
I drive a lot. The dumbass going super-slow in the passing lane is ALWAYS on the phone. Doesn’t anyone use cruise??? While driving I use bluetooth and cruise control.

Yeah, after I realized this I would answer a call and tell them, “I’m driving, call you back later” and hang up.
I have a headset for talking, but a lot of the time, I’ll let calls go to voicemail rather than have the distraction. Traffic can be pretty bad here, so I’d rather be safe than sorry.

Person 1 gets convicted of manslaughter.
The end.
I get extreme bouts of road rage whenever I see people texting on their cell when driving. If I had a gun, Im sure I would have killed a couple people by now.

Ehh, I text and drive  It’s not really that hard.
I’d rather text than talk on the phone while driving.
You sir are a complete and utter fucking idiot. I seriously hope you get in a wreck for your utter stupidity (and I mean that from the bottom of my heart)
This thread is a perfect example of just how stupid the general population really is (How the fuck can you even rationalize putting your petty phone call above the safety and wellbeing of everyone else on the road? Seriously, some of you are complete and utter fucktards to the highest degree.
