That wasn’t my point. She is being punished for breaking the rules, not for pursuing her “passion for technology”. She is trying to justify lying/stealing/disobeying her parents (apparently after she’d already been caught stealing music at least once before) by playing the “I have a shitty disease” card. [/quote]
what she is trying to get a cross to you is that ‘file-sharing’ pirated music and video games was the state-of-the-art on-line activity for computer nerds in her peer group at that time and if she didn’t stay up-to-date she would be left behind in the only field of endeavour she had any chance of being one of the cool kids in and excelling despite having cerebral palsy

For a kid that was not allowed to have much “TECH” she had a nice computer on the desk and “SOMEHOW” had a nice camera way back in 2004 that could pick up a clear azz picture and even come thru in with a nice pic in the dark. I stated what I thought a couple pages back. It made me sick to watch. I don’t get beating a 16yr old and cursing at them like that. Someone in that house did some staging or that was the devine hand of god to have a Camera on in the right spot at the right time considering her desk with the computer was on the other side of the room. But that is not a bad thing if she was trying to get proof she was being beat down.

the beating wasn’t severe
though it was out of all proportion to the issue
the disturbing part isn’t the level of viciousness
it’s the insidiousness of the circumstances
and what he whispered to her when the mother was gone
that’s not love
he knew it was wrong and he chose to say it when there were no witnesses(he thought)
he contrived to produce that situation so he could power-trip on her
he was having a power struggle with her and he wanted her to learn that she was nothing and he was everything
why did he let her keep the computer after that?
why did she wait 7 years to leak it?
what went on in between after she learnt his rules for getting to keep the only thing that gave her any value in the world?

That is the part she staged. And also the reason she did not comply to the whole lie on your stomach. She wanted to stay in camera. Not sure what the big deal is with her doing that is.
But without that explanation it just would seem odd to catch all of that on tape as a oops didn’t know the camera was still on.
Its not just hitting that is odd about the vid. The whole set up with the cursing and the “Lie on your stomach and take it” line was just kinda ewwww yeahhh this is not right.
My last post never got answered so I’ll ask again. Even if you are down with Wooping a kid. At what age do you stop. Are you hitting them when your ANGRY?
At 16 the kid is old enough to go for that permit and get behind a car 2 more years they can be in the Army and off to war. At some point that line of treating them like children that don’t know right from wrong without a stimulus and sitting them down to a “what the hell was going thru your mind” conversation needs to be met.
If not your sending a child into the world to face the world only knowing Bad=Ouch
