I’m only 19 and has my T tested because I feel like a potato. I lost my job and can’t drive because my brain fog is so bad. That feeling you get when you first wake up when your trying to gather all your thoughts and shit, I feel like this 24/7 going on 5 months. Could that be a symptom of my brain fog? It’s completely debilitating and me and others have noticed signifigant weight loss. I’m starting to look weak and boney. Also contributed to my low testosterone? Just looking for some insight guys. Thanks.
You haven’t posted any labs so the conversation will be limited, valuable advice will is lost.
You need to take this time to educate yourself because most doctors aren’t educated in TRT and offer TRT protocols that are worse than the cure. SHBG is measured and a protocol is designed around this number, your SHBG will dictate injection frequency. The majority of doctors don’t know how to play this game and know next to nothing about replacing a man’s hormones.
All the success stories I hear about are those who have gone private, insurance based healthcare doesn’t have any hormone specialists, insurance based healthcare has ignored TRT for decades and is viewed as taboo or negative. Most doctors will not even prescribe it and want nothing to do with it.
This is why it’s so difficult to locate a knowledgeable doctor within an insurance network.
Dman 19 Years of Age, still practically a Late Teenager, yes you’re totally Correct on how you’re feeling, and your total T Value whatever time it’s Drawn is AWFUL by going by accurate Medical charts, i believe that level 174 ng/dl Brother is like a 85 year old Man’s, no offence but if it was me, i would SKIP battling doctors for Injections and go with a Private Telemedical Hormone company like DefyMedical based in Florida, they will do everything by Phone & Skype if you have a decent job income. Best of Luck if you contact them & get a T.R.T plan setup bro.
Yea I’m starting to find that out. My doctor is trying to test me with knowing none of my other levels. Trying to find someone else atm.
Gonna try to. Trying to find a doctor somewhat educated on this.
I ran into the same problem, every time I complained to my endocrinologists that I didn’t feel right, he would only test for total testosterone not realizing there are other hormones affected by testosterone.
It would be like a car dealership trying to repair your car without a repair manual. The guidelines are extremely limited and outdated, only doctors that’s been doing TRT for awhile is going to have any sort of clue.
TT: 174
Eatradial: 21.3 PG/ML
FSH: 3.30 mIu/ML
LH: 2.30 mIu/ml
TSH: 1.409
Would this point more toward primary or secondary? What would be a good option at this point treatment wise? Thanks!
That’s secondary hypogonadism, pituitary failure . Doctors will try clomid first, then HCG and if those fail TRT.
