Your estrogen might be a bit high, but I’d be hesitant to jump to that conclusion. You might feel better with a lower dose. Going from 180mg/wk (technically 182mg/wk) to 140mg/wk helped a good bit with mental sides, alongside increased libido.
Thanks man I did not get prolactin checked. Never thought of that. I may order it next time. I haven’t touched nandrolone in 8 weeks, but I could still have some negative affects from that maybe.
I have given 140/wk a fair trial before and did not like it. I may need to increase dose. Decreasing seems to be the wrong direction for me.
There is such as things as too much of one thing is not always a good thing. We still don’t know your gene CAG repeat numbers, not that the testing is available to all as of yet.
Well, that would have been some good information to know first lol. Yeah, Deca tends to have some strange effects on people, and I believe (?) on prolactin in specific. Too much and you’re “meh” about everything, too little and you’re as emotionally stable as a 14y/o girl after a breakup. It’s more likely you have high prolactin IMO.
Gene CAG repeats is the sensitivity at the androgen (T) receptor.
However, some experts advocate for treatment in clearly symptomatic men regardless of serum testosterone levels, including those with levels > 350 ng dl−1.77Within this group, experts attribute benefit of treatment to modulation of the androgen receptor, mediated by genetic polymorphisms in exon one of the androgen receptor gene in the form of increased cysteine adenosine guanine (CAG) repeats. Certain data have shown increased CAG repeats are associated with decreased sensitivity in the receptor to testosterone and manifestation of TD symptoms despite “normal” serum testosterone levels.
So now imagine what would happen to someone with increased sensitivity and very high T… There was a guy a few years ago who was checking levels out of curiosity, no issues and was in his prime, he had a 158 Total T and Free T below range.
Something I wanted to throw out there @Newbie1, I’d be shocked if you had hemochromatosis, but there’s a good chance your liver is still the culprit for you fatigue. Might be good to get a full liver panel and test ALL your metals in case your fancy doctor didn’t test them all already. Since you say you feel better when you’re regular with zinc, your copper could be high which might mean Wilson’s disease and you’ll need to get handled ASAP. The genetic hemochromatosis test is also covered by insurance if your ferritin is high, which yours is…kinda
In 2016 I went to the doctor for suicidal depression and fatigue and the first thing she did was a complete blood panel including metals, hormones, liver, thyroid…you name it. You start getting sluggish around 475. My highest was 650 which was causing my issues and I would have ended up like Hemingway without intervention. I haven’t had to get bled since summer of 2021 and my ferritin is still under 300.
I am looking forward to the update on the situation and what would have been different from that and going to say Defy…. Besides the financial hit that is.
The internet. It has done wonders, but in certain cases like health anyone and everyone is now convinced they have a unique condition that maybe %1 of the population or less have.
