Hi All,
Just got my T-Labs back.
I’m 5’11" and 195lbs 47yrs old.
Really tired all the time and I’m thinking about getting a Rx for Anavar/Oxandrolone.
What are your thoughts?
Thank you ![]()

I did not know a function of Anavar was to resolve being tired all the time.
Have you resolved all the obvious lifestyle issues that would make a man tired?
Thats not going to help, in fact it could make things worse. Your available T is pretty low. Your minimal stats provided don’t appear that you are overweight. Any life style problems such as sleep? The best option should you want treatment would be a proper TRT program if you can’t make improvements with lifestyle adjustments. I wouldn’t jump right too it unless you have already tried everything else.
Your testosterone is in the gutter, no wonder you feel tired.
Var to fix Low T? That’s a first.
Skip the Var and go for TRT if you want to feel better, your free test is low enough you could warrant it for ‘symptom relief’.
Medically, your test is fine - but Medicine™ is often dumb.
what’s the difference between bioavailable and total?
I know what bioavailable means > readily absorbable by the body.
But I thought Testosterone Total and Free -t were the magic numbers.
what should bioavailable be?
thank you
sounds like you have something in mind.
Yeah, It was at 1100 just from fasting about 2 years ago…
I don’t know what my free T was at that time
It seems like SHBG may be robbing me of my free t and from what I researched Anavar / Oxandrolone could help.
I notice when I take Zinc, magnesium, and tongat ali, I get the morning wood
… I just don’t take it every day, I might start.
I have a Dr. that’s willing to Rx Oxandrolone and I was thinking about starting with 10mg Troches 2xday
It looks like starting dose for a male is 30 - 50 mg /day.
I am also a fraternal twin, boy /girl and I’m thinking maayybee that has something to do with my high estrogen…
I feel screwed here.
any help is greatly appreciated.
thank you
The Free T matters most, Total T not so much.
You’re in disease state and TRT is the obvious next step to circumvent the disease process that is lowering your testosterone.
No one around here tests Total Estrogens, you need to test estrogen/E2. Estrogen, E2 is the more potent form of estrogen.
Sounds like you know a lot.
I definitely feel like i’m in dis-ease…
are you allowed to recommend a TRT Dr?
thank you
I’m allowed to offer an opinion, based on current medical literature, that a lot of doctors don’t even follow. Typically <300 qualifies for TRT, however some doctors offer TRT up to 430 ng/dL as the guidelines are always evolving.
There are dozens of studies showing poor health outcomes having testosterone even low normal and some studies showing lowered libido below 500 ng/dL. Desirable healthy testosterone is much higher than what doctors consider normal.
It can be difficult to find a knowledgeable doctor in the sick care setting as many have no training or education in sex hormones. I can recommend private clinics with exceptional doctors.
yes, please recommend ![]()
you’re absolutely right about sick-care vs health-care.
you definitely understand what most people do not.
talking from experience here.
As far as private clinics, Defy Medical is the best in my opinion, as for the best doctor, that would be Dr. Rob Kominiarek (in Ohio) which is a bit more expensive because he’s the best all around doctor for everything as far as I’m concerned.
awesome … thank you so much … I will contact Dr. Rob .
Your TT is mid 600s. Not low.
You don’t need to “hop on” TRT to fix anything. You’ll only make things worse, imo. You don’t need LIFE LONG shots.
HAVE you had any other blood tests showing TT, etc., or was it just this once? Before making a choice like this, you should have multiple tests confirming results.
TRT isn’t something to play around with.
Disagree, and it’s quite the jump to blame OPs being tired on Low T (which being classified as “low” is questionable), when there could be a MILLION other things going on.
WTF is this? He’s not in a “disease state”?!
C’mon systemlord. Watch your words here.
No Doctor should be prescribing TRT given these numbers, and systemlord you shouldn’t be making your statements.
And where are the other blood tests to confirm these numbers are even accurate?
This thread reeks of malpractice.
