Hey guys
Im 24 and have just won the battle against cancer. I worked as a trainer and teamtrainer untill i got sick! Had testicular cancer for 8months due to missdiagnosis! After surgery and chemo i decided to phone the hospital to see if they had taken my hormone levels pre surgery and chemo? and if i remember correct they dident.
They had a test after surgery wich showed normal levels of T, and another part to be in the lower part… Im not sure wich
I will be calling my doc tomorrow, to ask for a new full blood test of all the hormones posted in the stickies! Im wondering if i should jump on TRT or maybe alil higher dosage, or if my body is going to return into higher levels when it has time to recover from surgery and chemo.
Im feeling quite tired, unmotivated, and just crashed due to the chemo! But im wondering if it might be a sign of low t aswell? anybody know how long it takes for my levels to recover and stabilize to see if ill need trt?
You have stress reactions to all that has happened as well. Please read the advice for new guys sticky and thyroid basics to find other things to consider.
If LH/FSH levels are good or high and T is low, your testes are not working and TRT is the only game in town.
what do you mean by retain?
Im getting blood check today, and will go for the full list explained in the sticky! I did deliver semen before i had surgery, and it did actually show reduced semen quality “it could be due to a sick testicle though” and will have reevaluted my semen quality now that i recover fully.
Yes. All the sides have cleard from the cancer… I no longer have tinnitus, eyefloaters or a feeling of fog/dizzyness/energyloss! When doctors kinda pushed me away I decided to go vegetarian, organic, juiceing, tea drinking, and quitting all sources of unnatural products… This might have kept the tumormarkers very low for 8months “300” where as other patients have 30.000 at 1month with TC.
So im very lucky. Reciveing the first round of chemo it actually cleard up all sides… funny enough… And all markers went back to average wich means i was healthy as a normal person.
finished all 3 rounds doctors said it was all dead, and Ct had to be done. The Ct showed that the lymph dident decrease to wanted size and they recommend me have it surgercially removed! Yet the lymph was only increase by 1-3mm wich is VERY little…
I wont to believe in nature, like i did before and that it saved my life. Eventually this lymph saved my life and i thank it So i was alittle skeptic to have it removed… but anyways i decided to go have it done.
Sorry KSman.
i understand what your saying now, but still I would have thought the hospital had done a full bloodtest before surgery… but looks like they only done it afterwards… I have the results here
Surgery was 25.april.2014 “removed right testicle” wich actually was by nature larger then the other.
28.april: Testosteron/SHBG 0.231
30.april: Testosteron/SHBG 0.422
Normal range is 0.14 → 1.1
So after 5days my testosteron shot up wich means my testicle is working! Now the question is how hard has the chemo been on my testosteron levels.
Test P
28.april: 4.85
30.april: 8.56
Normal range is 8.4 → 30
Eventually i dont know what they ment by P, but might be plasma? again i would suspect that this would eventually also have risen way higher a couple of days after.
Big question is, where are my levels at now after the treatment?
Yet again. I will go for the intire list posted on the site here.
I went to the doc to request a full hormonal check up, she just mentioned it would contain “androgen results” wich i was quite disapointed off. I showed the the hormone panel that you guys request in the stickies, and she laughed.
She said theres no point for you in knowing your estrogene as it does not affect you. I was like WTF is this even a doc… Eventually convinced her to check out my D vitamin and a few minerals! But i will be calling the hospital on monday, to quest or even pay for a full hormonal check up.
I have surgery comming up the 27 this month, to remove the dead lymph! Im hesitating alittle bit, since that lymph actually saved my life for 8months of not recieveing treatment!!! It should have been all over my body and the tumormarkeds should be around 30.000 mine where 300??? I did something correct and do attribute it to my diet choises as going vegetarian and starting to juice in massive amounts “fruit” i also eat all veganic and organic “proteins from fish and shrimps, beans”
KSman, you mention something about FSH/LH with retards to cancer? why is that?
There are some testicular tumors that release FSH. If FSH is high or out of range relative to LH, that can be indicating cancer. When guys go on effective * TRT, LH and FSH should both go to zero. If FSH does not, that is a symptom of cancer.
one can be on T transdermals with very poor absorption and LH/FSH will not go to zero.
“Testosteron/SHBG” appears to be a ratio, not your T level. The increase is good as it suggests that FT will be improved.
