Testex Prolongatum

Anyone know anything about testex prolongatum and how it’s different to cypionate. Tried to do a little research but there’s not a huge amount about it online.

My TRT dr wants me to try this for a few weeks, as I was developing reactions at the injection site using cypionate and said I might tolerate this a little better, and has other patients that have switched with good results.

In doing so, he’s upped my dose from 0.25ml twice per week to 0.44ml twice per week, so I’m taking from that it’s not as strong as cypionate hence needing a higher dose

Any insight from those far more knowledgable would be appreciated

Sounds like homeopathic trt.

Pretty sure it’s not that, looks to be cyp of some kind, just not finding much info about it. So seeing if those on here might have more insight / knowledge

I’ve found some threads on other forums from years ago, with people saying its very good and they’ve experienced nothing but positives from it. But nothing more detailed

Can’t you just switch to enanthate?

Seems like it’s just another name for test Cyp.
If your having issues are you rotating sites? What are the issues?

I started on enanthate and after about 5 weeks, started keeping firm red lumps that were a little tender at the injection site(s) and that’s with rotating. I was then moved to Cyp and the same thing has happened, just taken a little longer. So the doc wants to try me on testex, as he thinks it might be the carrier oil that could be causing these reactions

testex arrived yesterday, so will give it a whirl

Assuming you are doing IM injections?

No buddy, SubQ

Now you will injecting almost 1/2ml? Not great for subQ why don you go IM?

I’ve asked my Dr about this before, but he’s continued to steer me down the subq route, citing that subq allows for slower release of test compared to IM, but I do know that they don’t insist on this, just that it seems to be their preferred method. I’ve just pinged him now, since as you point out, the dosage now is close to 1/2 ml per injection and since I was getting reactions to both enanthate and cyp at 0.2ml & 0.25ml respectively, I’m clearly sensitive to the subq method and changing the product / carrier oil, but almost doubling the does, won’t likely be any better

I do .6ml of test cyp 250 subq weekly for the last five years.

No issues.

Remember the doctor works for you. If you wanna try something different than insist upon it. Docs don’t like to be told their method isn’t right for you.

Case in point, nit working for you. So he thinks injecting more oil is better?

All in one shot? Everyone is different.

I hear you my friend and I’m not opposed to trying IM. So will work on trying that

Also, I’m not sure, maybe you can confirm. IM vs SQ in terms of effectiveness, and benefit I’d imagine is negligible, no? Articles I’ve read say SQ acts to allow for a slower release and more stable test levels

This is all of course, not forgetting sq seems to not agree with me

This is all case by case and done for different reasons.
For some this may benefit SHBG and estrogen but others it will make no noticeable difference.

When i first started TRT i did sub Q because it was very popular and talked about in forums. Ultimately, i dropped it. It kept my levels lower, and i also had red inflamed “knots/bumps” at the injection site. I would assume its because the SQ fat has a slower absorbtion, because of lower blood flow, so the carrier oil just sits and inflames the tissue. However it didnt always happen, but id say 50-60% of the time i would be left with a long lasting red knot . You could try rubbing and massaging the site to spread the oil out. I use that technique with my shallow IM injections.

Hey there. How’s it going with this? I’m sure you know this by now, but this is just the European Test Cypionate. It is suspended in Olive Oil, as compared to the Grapeseed or Cotton Seed that US is mixed with.

Hey
It seemed things were beginning to settle, but I’ve since had to stop taking test, as my blood values came back high. So I’m now needing to donate blood, which is proving very difficult to do here in the UK for unknown reasons. Once I’ve managed to do that, I then need to have my blood tested again for the dr to review. So I’m going to be off TRT for the foreseeable with no real idea of timescales. Which isn’t ideal and I’m not looking forward to whatever side effects I’m going to experience after being on for 8mths

Testex prolongantum is just test cypionate, 250mg/2ml or 100mg/1ml, pharma grade. Carrier oil is not so good as it is olive oil (I am not totally sure) but … it is test cypionate. I have been used for years as in my country is the only one selled in Pharmacies

You have a shit doctor. I assume you are talking about high hematocrit levels and this is why you need to donate blood. You can still donate blood while on TRT. In any case, whatever your levels drop to they won’t stay there long since donating blood is a temporary solution for high hematocrit levels. And when they do rise again, is he going to take you off TRT every time they rise?
I’d rather live with low test levels than have incompetent doc’s screw with my hormones.
