I HIGHLY second this!! Not much good to be big but in failing health. The older I get the more I focus on proper healthy supplementation (Flameout fish oils, micellar curcumin, Vit D3, Nattokinase/serrapeptase), doing more cardio, warming up more thoroughly in the gym, lowering my sugar intake by just being more aware, etc. Watching all these bodybuilders who I used to look up to kick the bucket in their 40s, 50s, etc, has made me realize that I can still be big and strong, but that is no longer my primary focus. I do more proactive health checks now too: calcium heart score test, colonoscopy since I’m 45, cancer screenings, in addition to having my doc do bloodwork 3-4 times a year to keep an eye on everything. Dying young sucks, there is too much I still want to do in my rapidly declining time on this planet. Also, realizing your mortality sucks as well…..so true, when you’re young, you never even take a second to think about it until one day when you’re much older and you start noticing deaths and peoples’ health problems do you ponder it.

I was just having this conversation with myself the other day. It’s like getting the first winds of winter at the end of the Fall.

Mortality is imminent. I will continue to always try to push myself physically, but recognize longevity is precedence.
