Milk it, might as well use it. As far as nutrition, isn’t taught in medical schools, and the organizations that spit out advice are routinely, are wrong and backtrack on their nutritional advice.

So don’t count on your doctor having the correct information. Kaiser will give you a clean bill of health to those barely getting by, so be warned.

What Kaiser says is healthy and what actually is healthy may not be the same.

Seems as though they make money with investments and not providing health care.

Disagree. Optimal Test levels on TRT will assist with gains, especially considering the levels he is at now.

I would recommend fixing the diet, solid lifting/cardio program AND proper TRT to help this gentleman. Re-asses in 6 months.

There will be a difference when a hypogonadal man uses TRT initially. After that, his body functions as a eugonadal man’s does. And eugonadal men, while some gain muscle and strength faster than others, and the potential for more of both than others, do not experience spectacular gains.

He has low normal T with no symptoms. He might experience something if his T went to mid to high normal. There’s also might be no difference at all.

Again thank you for the advice :muscle:t3:

That’s the problem, no incentive to provide care at all. A doctors salary isn’t based on performance, therefore no incentive to perform. And underachieving doctor gets paid the same as an overachieving doctor.

If I get any sides from cycle will a doctor prescribe me any pct if I was on my own regiment of test, or should I just have my own on hand ? Newbie :muscle:t3:

You need to decide if you want TRT or want to abuse testosterone or AAS.

If you go to a Kaiser doctor and start taking about cycling, they will want nothing to do with you and will blow you off and send you on your way.

Let’s be real, you’re not getting TRT or steroids from Kaiser, period, because you don’t qualify under their guidelines - <264 ng/dL.

I’m awaiting docs response but not likely they are going to help. I did the blood work getting a thorough check up. I’m going to try the ole low carb and fasting to drop weight. Slowly move over to a realistic nutritional plan. Up my cardio and continue to hit the gym something vicious. I have everything perty much set up. The advice, guidance and opinions have been much help. I have a long road ahead of me but I’m determined :muscle:t3:

I think even competent TRT doctors would not continue with someone with a value at around 400, normal LH and FSH, and no symptoms.

TRT isn’t going to accomplish much at all with a poor diet and lack of exercise. TRT by itself wasn’t enough to do much at all for my type 2 diabetes without also changing my diet and lifting weights.

TRT is a tool to achieving a healthy mind and body, but it’s not going do it all the work for you.

That is true, but if a man is hypogonadal, he needs TRT, whether his health habits are good or bad.

Not necessarily. While I agree that results will be much enhanced when TRT is combined with a healthy lifestyle, especially diet, exercise, no smoking, drinking, etc., some get amazing results with TRT and nothing else. I have seen it. One example is a friend of mine I see. He takes an injection once a week, continued eating the same, loves beer, no exercise. He started (age 44) with me about five years ago, but in the first two years, he lost 70 pounds, went off BP meds and metformin.

He tells me this is the greatest thing he did in his life. I tell him not to tell any of his fat friends. Of course, he’s an exception, but I would say many get some results with just testosterone and nothing else and some get very good results.

I know you’ve gone through dozens of protocols with several doctors. Do you think, in your case you did not see much benefit until you got your diet and exercise act together? I see that extreme too. They get little out of TRT until I convince them to make some lifestyle changes.
