Test Level Results, TRT?

I have had some low T symptoms for years. Got into serious lifting for a year and used a 8 week 300mg cycle and made great gains and felt like my old self physically and psychologically. Did pct, had a few issues which seem to be sorted out 12 weeks later.

So i did some more lab work and total test is 464 (250-827), free test 64 (46-224) and bio test 126 (110-572). Shbg 32. Estradiol 17. Prolactin 14.

I just feel low t symptoms even though am in low normal range. I am concerned about doing lifetime trt since i am only on 30s but i also hate feeling this way and i know higher T levels definitely fixed my depression, and fat gain and tiredness, low libido, and fatigue ect.

I just wonder if good strength and muscle gains can still be made with the current t levels i have and if the other symptoms might get better or managable at these levels. I feel that boosting my T levels to a higher but still normal level would help everything and not be detrimental to long term health. I am just scared to bite the bullet for life and end up feeling worse somehow down the road.

I know this has been asked probably a million times and i have read alot. I just wonder if most that have went thru with trt would just stick with my low normal levels or go to TRT if they could do it over.

Forget about the concept of ā€œnormalā€.

How long have you been off testosterone? Do you know what your levels were prior to taking it?

You may need more time to start making progress in the gym and feel better. Of course, increasing testosterone levels would help. I spoke with a guy yesterday who has been on testosterone for 35 years.

The only thing i knew before was total T of 540, which resulted in September 2021. I didnt get any other pre cycle labs.

It has been 3 months since last pin in November 2021.

My LH right now is 7. TSH 1.98. I forgot to add those to initial post.

Your numbers are lowish, but not bad. Iā€™d retest again in another month.

TRT isnā€™t just pop a shot and life is grand. Not even close. It REALLY should be seen as a last resort.

No consensus has been reached regarding the lower TT threshold defining testosterone deficiency, and there are no generally accepted lower limits of normal TT.

Also, the number of triplet CAG repeats in androgen receptors differ in men and influences the androgen receptor activity. An androgen receptor CAG repeats length of >24 in the presence of symptoms with normal testosterone levels may be considered as a state of testosterone deficiency.

Your LH signal is robust and I would expect the TT and Free T to be equally good, but thatā€™s not the case. The Free T is circling the gutter.

There are guys that after only one cycle are unable to return to baseline.

Iā€™d give myself several more months then. Maybe six more.
