Test Fest: Texas?

I have it on pretty high authority that T-Mag Mod will be donning her purple boots at the Texas T-Fest. If you don’t know what that means, I think Wayne and Garth sum it up best: SCHWINGGGGG!!!

I’m beginning to think you Texans are all talk and no action…8 pages and you still don’t know where or when to have this Test Fest!

rj, I don’t think those are exactly cowgirl boots. ;)[/quote]

I keep saying HOUSTON and these sons of bitches expect me to drive all of the way to shitty Dallas. I thought you people had some CLASS! Bitches.

Professor X,

Since RJ is being so generous these days, I would be glad to pay for the gas if you will show up in Dallas. Someone please let me know how many plane tickets & rooms we need to arrange for.

Is there anyone in Texas who isn’t completely full of piss and wind? I am beginning to think that you guys couldn’t organise a piss up in a brewery and if you can’t do that…well there’s no point me even coming.

I keep coming back to this thread occasionally expecting to see something has happened and all I see is bitching and moaning about what a waste of space Texas is and how everywhere that someone suggests as a possible venue has some other clueless Texan crapping on about how the place resembles their own arsehole.

I am willing to bet that the same dickheads that seem to be dumping all over each others suggestions will be the same ones bitching and moaning about this event not happening in a few months time…in fact if someone doesn’t have the stones to actually do something other than crap on endlessly about steak and boobs by summertime I’ll fucking organise it for you. I’ll set a date, find a venue, put the presenters together and then stand around at the event reminding you all just how useless you gobshites are for not being able to do it yourself…and if you think I’m joking…try me.

This will all be avoided if you’d stop your ‘attempts’ at humour (you can’t ‘try’ to be funny…although this fact is lost on some of you) and get organised…you know who you are.

Do it in Houston, organise a date, email all the contributors and see who’d be interested in presenting and hurry up about it.

I’ll be the first one to hand over my cash.

Any way we could get this done near the Shinerbock brewery? I may have to come up a few days early to see if I can send a shipment home.

Jules will hunt you down and torture you. Some of you freaks out there might that. I know I would.

Very funny Sully, but yet …
Our 2 day Boot Camp this year will far surpass anything we have ever done in the past and the list I have already is huge, over 65 signed up so far.W e may cap it pretty soon or we may not. Know this- if you are on the list it is going to be so very worth it!!! - Jules

My point exactly. If you are going to do something, do it right. To try and outdo Teamstaley would be foolish especially for the inexperienced.

Texas in Jan/Feb 2007 would be good.

Dang, I didn’t know that everyone would get their panties in a wad because things aren’t nailed down yet.

(1) I’m working on putting together a team of Texas T-Members to organize this event.

(2) It will most likely be held in Dallas/Forth Worth area. Based on responses and logistics.

(3) A date has not been determined.

(4) A location/hotel has not been determined.

(5) Details of the event have not been hashed out, but the general discussion is that we would like for hands on stuff: demonstrations and coaching to be a part of the event.

And I’d like to add that I’ve lived here all my life, and I grew up driving all over the damn state. If you are unhappy about where in Texas the event ends up being held, then you’re a big WEENIE if you can’t drive across the state for something as (hopefully) awesome as a Test Fest!

negative ghostrider … test fest 2007 is all about so cal … it is merely a vision dancing about in my head just now, but already it has more organization and draw than anything going in texas

who wants to spring break in san diego next year?

wait, how about the short list … who does NOT want to spring break in san diego next year?

committee? come on!

Dan

not to worry ipjunkie-
I just put my 2cents in based on a few talking about our event in October. As I pm’d you- I will be glad to help you with swag and such. Hold your event whenever you think is best for you and the responce you get. Regardless, we will still have a full crowd at ours.-Jules

What part of Houston do you hail from? I’m in the southwest area.

I grew up in south Houston.

My vote:

San Antonio

August

Most others seem to say D/FW, though, so I’m not gonna cry if it’s held there.

And if anyone living in TX can’t drive to D/FW, quitcherbitchin’. There are SO MANY ppl that plan to fly in and you can’t drive? Get over it.

You bunch o’ pussies couldn’t organise a whiskey on the rocks in Alaska, and I’m gonna have to join the Dan Fouts Fan Club and denounce you for the incompetent slobs y’all are.

Then again, you are from Texas, so who knows…

Look, if this is how it’s going to be then I’m just going to tell Rainjack to keep his money.

This is all too reminiscent of Spinal Tap…

Miserere,
The membership fee in the Dan Fouts fan club is very high but the benefits are immessurable. You won’t be disappointed.

Mike,

Have you received the autographed photo yet? Is the half-eaten steak really in the pic, or is this just a rumour?

Thanks,

Miserere

Thanks for the bump.

What happened to this?

I’m still up for it as long as we have about a month’s notice.
