Test Fest: Texas?

Where in Texas do you want it to be held, Danny Boy? Personally, I could give a shit where it is held. We could hold it at the Terlingua Convention Center for all I care.
What do you think of Fredricksburg?

Seriously, I need a date and a location if I am going to come over from NEW ZEALAND.

I was hoping to combine this with Burning Man which is end of Aug/start of Sept but I need to know what to plan for/if it is possible.
It’s gonna take us a month to get a date and location nailed down. Patience. Patience and all your thirsts will be taken care of

Okay - this is my last hijack.

Dude - the Browns suck. If it makes you feel better, and sleep easier at night to think the Browns are at the beginning of some freaking journey to greatness, knock yourself out.

The only thing the Browns EVER begin is yet another sucky season. And the fine folks of Cleveland loved supporting a loser so bad - they cried until the NFL gave them another chance to begin sucking every September.

I like it. I haven’t been there since it turned into the antique store Mecca, but it is a nice little burg.

I think it would be fun to have it at San Marcos. SWTSU (or Texas State, or whtever they call it now) has dsome hot-assed chicks there, and we could all go to the Schlitterbahn.

But seriously - Somebody just make a call here. Name a date and a city, and don’t forget to keep T-Mag Mod in the loop.

You didn’t insult me enough. If you can get your limey-bastard ass across the pond, then we’ll see what I can do to get you to Texas.

I’m more yellow and sickly lately…might have to do with Kuz’s mum’s chili that I’ve been eating this week…

And rainjack, I heard you played a role in Brokeback, Jake Gyllenhaal’s sex-scene double. I also heard that, although you are a bit decrepit at your age, your enthusiasm and lanky arse convinced Ang Lee to give you the part.

Can you confirm this?

I think it was more my proficiencty on the casting couch that got me the job more than anything else.

Yes - Cleveland is a great place to die. Just look at the Browns. I rest my case.

Accountant’s never do get Internet sarcasm. Just another reason I avoided getting my CPA.

BTW, the Browns are just getting started.
You didn’t really just say that did you? I invented internet sarcasm. Ask around. Freakin Dan Fouts will try to take credit for it, but he knows that it was I who invented it. Me.

And I was about to take you serious until I read the part about the Browns ‘just getting started’ - then it hit me: You DO understand internet sarcasm.

Is T-mag Mod coming? Somebody told me if you get her all liquored up she takes stuff off. I nominate myself to be her official show-her-a-good-time-guy, or hold-her-hair-back-guy. I just want her to show up in Texas.

I’d be down for H-town!

I like to reserve my use of the word ‘hate’ for special occasions, which this has now become. I HATE you Rainjack. I hate the soil that you defile by occupying and I even hate all the furry little animals that give you sexual pleasure. You have sealed your fate by attempting to ridicule the Browns. Now go back and have another toot with Earl Campbell or Hollywood Henderson, who’s sitting on your front porch looking for his teeth. The Browns will rise to power again and usher in a new era of Browns dominance. I know in truth you are just jealous of the uniforms.

I’m getting the sense that there are rival factions at work on the planning of this. I hope this doesn’t turn out like the CART vs Indy Racing League fiasco, with conflicting Test-Fests that dillute the attendance and participation of both. The question will be, which group will be Betamax and which group will be VHS??? Then again, maybe it would be cool to have rival fests in different cities and we can meet in the middle and rumble it out like “Anchorman”.

DB

I am down for H-town, Dallas, SA, or Austin!

I have it on pretty high authority that T-Mag Mod will be donning her purple boots at the Texas T-Fest. If you don’t know what that means, I think Wayne and Garth sum it up best: SCHWINGGGGG!!!

How many “last hijacks” do you get? Stop it.

This needs to be in a major city to allow easy access for out of staters … that means Dallas, San Anton, or H-town … nobody has mentioned San Anton … so …

The voting begins:

(A) Dallas / Ft. Worth
(B) Houston

Also, do you guys intend to have any presenters, or are you just going to sit around, eat steak, stare at titties, and rave about the wonderfulness that is Texas?

WHO THE F*CK IS IN CHARGE HERE?

Nobody. Don’t they teach Kalifornians to read??? Several of us had the same idea at the same time and now we’re trying to coordinate.

Oh, my vote is A by the way.

Vote for (a).

Just don’t try to compete with the Staley Bootcamp in October.
Jules will hunt you down and torture you. Some of you freaks out there might that. I know I would.

Dan, perhaps what needs to happen is that a couple of us non-texans simply take charge. It seems everything IS bigger in texas, including the amount of time it takes for people to get shit going.

My vote (A)

V

A.

Preferably August or very, very early in September.

And make this more hands on! I want to do more lifting and learn new stuff during the seminar.

I’d rather attend something more “bootcamp” oriented so I can get a good workout, eat good food, learn new things and have time to meet and hang out with everyone afterward.

Presentations are nice, and some new info is good, but I hate sitting in a chair all day.

I’m beginning to think you Texans are all talk and no action…8 pages and you still don’t know where or when to have this Test Fest!

rj, I don’t think those are exactly cowgirl boots.
