That’s a shitty post. If you have an artistic ambition, strive to BETTER your art – don’t strive to mold it into a sellable commodity. That is, if your ambitions are artisitic in nature. Ultimately, who gives a fuck if your creation gets the response you want from some paid-off radio DJ – create for yourself, not them. Unless you just want to get paid. If that’s your goal, dumb it on down and do whatever it is you gotta do.
I’m a pianist who also plays guitar. I’ve been playing classical piano for a loooong time, but most of my guitar stuff is either the blues or experimental. I’d love to actually write music, but it’s not something I can do on my own at this point.
Oh, Chris Cornell…has he done anything good this century? Euphoria Morning is one of my favorite albums of all time. But aside from that wicked cover of Billie Jean, he’s fallen on hard times lately.
