Hey guys for me telmisartan is a game changer.i get rid of all my water in the body. Only problem is ( and i am not sure if it’s related to telmi) i get kinda moody on it and i feel like i have less libido. i have been taking it for a week. It could also be something else. Which ARB is similar to telmi when it comes to halflife…if it’s telmisartan i would like to switch.
Has anybody here make similiar experience?
Not me, I take telmisartan 80mg and my libido is through the roof. ARBs are best taken at night time.

Yes libido and depression or moodiness seem to be very rare side effects. Maybe it’s something else.
For water retention its actually so good man.
How much are you taking? At least for me, a low dose will lower my BP pretty well. 20 mg a day will lower BP almost as much as 40 mg. Maybe you could get the same good effects with a lower dose, and not have the bad effects (which I am not convinced are caused by the telmisartan).
I took 20 mg. I cut it. Because I only have the 80 mg pills so I take 1/4.
I only take it for the diuretics effect or the renin blocking effect…
Actually it also lowered my already low blood pressure to 90/50. Lol
Interesting, does anyone know how it helps with water retention? As in scientfically?
Anyone tried Terazosin, an alpha blocker for BPH and high blood pressure?
I took it for that purpose. I don’t know if there are any studies but it lowerd alfosterone.
I took 40 mg and i instantly lost water weight 2 pounds between 6-8 hours…after that i only took 20 mg. But I will probably change to Lisinopril. Telmisartan makes me weird somehow…dunno why. But the majority of guys out there have no problems with it. So it seems to be me.
