Teens Using Steroids

Hey everyone. I am very new to this forum so please excuse if i do something wrong… So i am 18 years old and i come in contact with steroids EVERY day when friends are using it, talking about it ans. I have tried to educate myself by watching millions of youtube videos and reading on all the websites i can find by i cannot find any answers.

Can a 18 year old use stroids safely?
Whats the best to use?
Can you use steroids for like 2/ 3 cycles and never again?
Can i run a winnie and test c cycle safely with pct?

I try to eat healthy and work out every day. Please i really need answers.

How many years have you trained? What are your lifts? What your physique look like?

You shouldn’t use anabolics until you’re really good at making gains without them for years and even then should only use them if you’re mature enough to do so.

If you’re going to ignore me anyway. Don’t use a single pin until you’ve read the below resources twice. You can either buy the below books, or be a scumbag and pirate them.

Wow thanks for the quick reply!
Havent trained for super long but about 3 years. I lift in kgs so sorry if you have an american mind that works in pounds!
Curl: 40kg
Bench: 70kg
Squat: 100kg
Deadlift: 140kg

Normally i work with machines and more isolation of muscle than all the compound stuff (struggle a little with my back)

Chest press: 38kg dumbells
Dumbbell curl: 20kg
Shoulder press: 20kg dumbells
Tricep extensions: 40kg kabels

I think i have a descent physique because i have nice genetics.

I woudnt ignore you because i feel uneducated and dont have REAL experience with steroids

Those are terrible numbers. You’re weak and small. Not anywhere close to a point where you should be considering steroids. I was lifting literally double what you can now on bench, squat, and close to double on deadlift, before I decided to use them. DOUBLE. And I was more than 10 years older.

I don’t think you can tell if you have good genetics or bad genetics at this point, because you’re so young and just haven’t put on much muscle at all yet. You’ll be able to figure out what your genetic potential is later down the line when you’ve put in more work. 3 years is nothing.

Be smarter than your friends.

And one last note: even if you were big and strong and physically ready for steroids, the questions you asked tell me you aren’t mentally ready. Those are ridiculous questions to be asking if you’ve actually put in proper research. You haven’t read enough, or you’ve read really poor sources.

Can an 18 year old use steroids safely? This is a tough question because there can be many variables. In 99.9% of cases when a teenager takes up a regiment of anabolic steroids they either have done
A: far too little research and end up using something dumb like dbol only for 4 weeks
B: Not mentally prepared to handle the side effects from anabolic steroids
C: Isn’t ready for use, is using to bulk up for spring break to look good for (insert gender) that he is attracted to, ruining his endocrine system for a few days of vanity.
The problem is, no one can use steroids “safely”, there are ways to minimize risk such as using the lowest dose possible, getting periodic blood work, taking cycle support, minimising time on and maximising time off etc, however these compounds are serious drugs and all drugs carry risks, especially when used at doses well over what they would be used at if prescribed by a doctor. Take for example fluoxetine (prozac), a commonly (and over prescribed) antidepressent of the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor class of medication. Whenever an individual starts taking this medication (or any SSRI), there is a minute, teeny chance that the individual can acquire serotonin symdrome, a potentially lethal condition if left untreated, although the chance is very low, it is still a ‘risk’ therefore there isn’t really an 100% “safe” way to use it is there, it’s all about a percieved benefit/risk assessment, if the benefits from using AAS outweigh the potential risks (there would have to be a fuck ton of benefit at age 18) then the individual will typically go ahead and use, for instance I will give a few scenarios where AAS use may be acceptable in a teenager

  1. A teenager has a legitimate chance or as been signed as a pro athlete, he’s been training for a long time and is near his genetic potential, but needs that edge. Using AAS will possibly secure him a sustainable six figure income, this is an individual who would likely benefit substantally from the use of AAS.
  2. A teenager has an endocrine issue causing secondary or primary hypogonadism (given that this issue wasn’t caused by his previous AAS abuse)
  3. A teenager has some sort of chronic, catabolic disorder causing muscle wasting such as HIV, or is undergoing treatment such as chemotherapy and the treatment is causing extensive muscle wasting, thereby significantly decreasing the individuals quality of life and increasing the chances of overall mortality.
Therefore the answer to your first question is no one can use steroids ‘safely’

Whats the best one to use?
at your age, providing you don’t meet any of the aforementioned criteria, NONE (derp). If you had to cycle or were going to run a first cycle (which you shouldn’t), the rule that applies to adults apples to everyone, KISS (keep it simple stupid), roughly 500mg of Test E or Test C split into two pins every 3.5 days.

Can you use steroids for 2/3 cycles and never use again

Sure, however this is heavily determined by your personality, if you have an addictive and impulsive personality it’s going to be much harder to come off/ regulate how long you stay on and will want to go straight to blast and cruise in order to keep maximum amounts of gains.

Can I run a winnie and test C cycle safely without PCT?
Probably not, the chances of screwing up your endocrine system (therefore permenantly needing TRT) is a real possibility, the next thing is dependant on genetics but for many winny absolutely destroys their cholesterol, winny is also notorious for causing joint pain and may cause weakening of the tendons, increasing the chances of tears/ruptures

Take home message: steroids are serious drugs, respect them or you can/will fuck yourself up.

estrogen will cause your hips to widen, only viable reason to take steroids as a kid is to use ai for height

NOOOOOOOOOOOO. I was on 1mg of anastrazole daily for 2-2.5 years to stop premature closure of my Epysial plates (very short stature, was just a hair off being able to get HGH). It fucked up my joints and my bone density is now low, Oxandrolone, stanozolol and primo at low doses has been shown to boost final adult height, however oxandrolone is the only steroid approved for this purpose, we are talking low dose, like .1-.25 mg/kg of body weight. It is commonly said estrogen fuses growth plates, while this is true, if a kid uses high doses of non aromatising steroids it is possible the androgenic activity may outweigh the anabolic effect the child gets in linear growth as androgens do fuse growth plates, just at a slower rate than that of estrogen, so one must be sure the anabolic effect outweighs the androgenic effect.

oh damn, thanks for the information

i guess the best OP could do is wait a few years, sorry about your bone loss too

Okay cool. Thanks for those points. I will definitely keep that all in mind.

Just for more context: i dont really do compound exercises and never max out so those are the kgs that i have WHEN i do the exercises. Im sorry to disapoint but this is why i asked for advice is becauese i dont know everything and want to learn from people who do (like you)

Thanks for this! It helped a lot and i really agree with all you said. I think my plan of action will be to not use now but maybe start at a later stadge if i still want to then.

For now, what can i do naturally to gain but also cut. (Get the jeff seid look) i think he looks great and thats my goal.

Thanks again for all the tips! It helped a lot and will definitely go long term and not use now

There are two types of countries:

  1. Those that use the metric system
  2. Those that landed a man on the moon

Just sayin’.

What I learn is steroids make you strong and grow bigger but if you quit using it you will lose what you gain fast I think.

That’s why people use PCT post cycle, when a person starts using AAS at a dose higher than what their body produces (enough to promote anabolic action) the bodies natural testosterone production is shut off via a negative feedback loop to the anterior pituitary. FSH and LH is shut off, these two hormones stimulate the leydig cells of the testicles to secrete testosterone, without LH and FSH natty t production is gone, while this isn’t a problem while on cycle, when AAS use is stopped the bodies natural testosterone is shut down, testosterone is responsible for promoting protein synthesis, nitrogen retention in muscles etc. without test, cortisol (catabolic) hormone becomes the dominent hormone, this is why AAS users PCT post cycle to get their testosterone production restored as quickly as possible, therefore they retain some, but not all of their gains. Certain elements such as water retention, glycogen retention, intracellular water retention are temporary (dbol, sdrol etc), although it helps with gains while on, they go away once AAS use is stopped. People on trt don’t worry about pct or coming off because they are always “on”

Take home message: when idiots use steroids they lose gains, when done properly a significant amount of gains can be kept

You have way too much to learn and you need to grow a lot naturally before you start AAS. You are 18 so your natty test levels should be through the roof. Your numbers are not impressive. Like @flipcollar said, it is hard to tell if you have good or bad genetics. Also, what would you consider to be “good” genetics? I’m interested to know your take on what you think good genetics are. There are guys that have less than favorable genetics that are bodybuilding champions. Genetics definitely play a roll, but the amount of work in your training and diet will be a huge deciding factor in changing your physique. Also, what would be your reason for taking AAS? Are you wanting to compete or are you doing it just to be another gym bro? Also, it really seems like you have zero knowledge about using gear. You need to take time(years) and research this stuff. So many younger guys just grab a needle and pin themselves without having the slightest clue about what they are doing. You don’t want to mess yourself up in the long run just because you wanted to rush into a cycle at a young age. Take your time to get your diet and training right before you even consider getting on gear. At your age, you’ll be surprised at how much you can change naturally.

What Moose said cannot be repeated enough. Also, you are sort of already on a steroid, it’s called being 18. Your window of opportunity for huge, natural gains is going to be open for the next seven years or so. Use that time wisely and you’ll be absolutely stunned at what you can do without spending a nickel on gear, syringes, blood work, or shady pct drugs from some guy you know who knows a guy. You have the gift of youth—which everyone on here would love to be able to buy back for themselves—so you should use it to its maximum effect.

I find this graph depressing, my growth plates in my feet and ankles closed in the 6th grade, hips were fusing at like 15, my hands/ wrists were in the process of fusing at 15-16. Fingers fused at like 15 from what I remember
