Can an 18 year old use steroids safely? This is a tough question because there can be many variables. In 99.9% of cases when a teenager takes up a regiment of anabolic steroids they either have done
A: far too little research and end up using something dumb like dbol only for 4 weeks
B: Not mentally prepared to handle the side effects from anabolic steroids
C: Isn’t ready for use, is using to bulk up for spring break to look good for (insert gender) that he is attracted to, ruining his endocrine system for a few days of vanity.
The problem is, no one can use steroids “safely”, there are ways to minimize risk such as using the lowest dose possible, getting periodic blood work, taking cycle support, minimising time on and maximising time off etc, however these compounds are serious drugs and all drugs carry risks, especially when used at doses well over what they would be used at if prescribed by a doctor. Take for example fluoxetine (prozac), a commonly (and over prescribed) antidepressent of the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor class of medication. Whenever an individual starts taking this medication (or any SSRI), there is a minute, teeny chance that the individual can acquire serotonin symdrome, a potentially lethal condition if left untreated, although the chance is very low, it is still a ‘risk’ therefore there isn’t really an 100% “safe” way to use it is there, it’s all about a percieved benefit/risk assessment, if the benefits from using AAS outweigh the potential risks (there would have to be a fuck ton of benefit at age 18) then the individual will typically go ahead and use, for instance I will give a few scenarios where AAS use may be acceptable in a teenager
- A teenager has a legitimate chance or as been signed as a pro athlete, he’s been training for a long time and is near his genetic potential, but needs that edge. Using AAS will possibly secure him a sustainable six figure income, this is an individual who would likely benefit substantally from the use of AAS.
- A teenager has an endocrine issue causing secondary or primary hypogonadism (given that this issue wasn’t caused by his previous AAS abuse)
- A teenager has some sort of chronic, catabolic disorder causing muscle wasting such as HIV, or is undergoing treatment such as chemotherapy and the treatment is causing extensive muscle wasting, thereby significantly decreasing the individuals quality of life and increasing the chances of overall mortality.
Therefore the answer to your first question is no one can use steroids ‘safely’
Whats the best one to use?
at your age, providing you don’t meet any of the aforementioned criteria, NONE (derp). If you had to cycle or were going to run a first cycle (which you shouldn’t), the rule that applies to adults apples to everyone, KISS (keep it simple stupid), roughly 500mg of Test E or Test C split into two pins every 3.5 days.
Can you use steroids for 2/3 cycles and never use again
Sure, however this is heavily determined by your personality, if you have an addictive and impulsive personality it’s going to be much harder to come off/ regulate how long you stay on and will want to go straight to blast and cruise in order to keep maximum amounts of gains.
Can I run a winnie and test C cycle safely without PCT?
Probably not, the chances of screwing up your endocrine system (therefore permenantly needing TRT) is a real possibility, the next thing is dependant on genetics but for many winny absolutely destroys their cholesterol, winny is also notorious for causing joint pain and may cause weakening of the tendons, increasing the chances of tears/ruptures
Take home message: steroids are serious drugs, respect them or you can/will fuck yourself up.
