Teens Shouldn't Squat Unsupervised

I wonder why they turned the comment option off on youtube, lol. Funny but annoying stuff.

Monopoly

In digitalairair’s profile he provides a link to “YouTube videos of all my training clips.” One of these clips is the one viewed here. In his profile, he offers his name as “Frank Yang,” but none of the lads we see squatting is called “Frank.”

Is digitalairair the blue shirt?

I don’t know why people are so upset, this video is awesome, I think a lot of people are missing the point. Even the title of the video is “Max Effort Phsych Up”.

Watch his other videos… it should alllll become clear.

I thought EC thought his clients good form.

Sad thing is the guy in the blue that everybody’s dissing on is probaby putting up better numbers and works out with way more intensity than the majority of people on here. Even if he is a weirdo.[/quote]

Yeah, agreed. He box squats high 400’s at a body weight of 160 and change and has a legit 40 inch vertical. The vertical can be viewed under the rest of his stuff. Not saying that I condone the antics.

The only thing that’s high about his squat is the box. It’s gotta be at least 6 inches above parrallel. Probably a whole lot more. Very strong core to support that beltless tho.

I don’t think so, in this thread:

http://www.T-Nation.com/readTopic.do?id=1470195

jesse22 asks about the same video and about the guy in the blue shirt. digitalairair says “He’s just there for psych ups.” Not in the third person either.

(Is it possible to link to specific posts?)

OMG, this is astonishing, that gym is no more than 5 minutes from my house, and one of my best friends works there. I have a mind to go up there and throw him out.

That would be the lamest thing ever.

Lamer than all the whining about form that goes on in this forum?

Just let them do whatever in the gym. As long as they aren’t going to drop weights on to you they are fine.

They paid their fees so leave them the f0ck alone.

Koing

Slamming the weights down to look badass isn’t cool tho.

And it’s doubly worse when you do it on the floor with a platform about 10 feet away.

I don’t know where your going with this but, getting some guys banned from their gym cause you don’t like the way they train is the lamest, most T-Nation unlike thing I’ve ever heard. I don’t like the way that deiselweisel guy trains or whatever his name is, but I don’t care enough to get his membership taken away. Besides I enjoy all of digitalair’s videos, he’s strong, fast, and jumps really high, his training has given him results.

So tell me, how are you going to do this? Go to the owner of the gym… “excuse me, these three teenagers, weren’t doing their box squats right, they were arching their back, sitting on the box too long and yelling at eachother for motivation, I want their memberships taken away.”

That’s LAME.

More videos man, they’re halarious.

This made it up over at EFS.

other than the guys jumping around like weak dip shits

I saw nothing wrong with that sure the forms off but shit they are doing squats thats like 10 steps ahead of most kids

i dont know if u saw the same video as me but those kids are gonna have serious back problems if they dont get serious help immidatly. and encouraging them to just keep doing what there doing is only going to exaserbate it. they need to take 100 lbs off and do it RIGHT.

That is digitalairair wearing the blue t-shirt.

yea

I work at that gym and was there when those kids were working out there. There was a bad snowstorm that day and they were the only people that were willing to still make it to the gym.

They also happen to be the only people that I’ve seen that does squats and deads religously and carry chains, bands and even trap bars to the gym. The blue guy wanted to donate his GHR machine to our gym but was rejected by the fitness director. It was truely our lost.

Serly disagrees. Do you have anything to back this up? (My theory was based only on circumstantial evidence.)
