Letting that slide for a minute; who else have you got? You’ve got Hillary Clinton. Architect of Obama’s utterly disastrous and downright bizarre Arab Spring foreign policy adventure plus all the rest of her baggage. You’ve got Jeb Bush 3.0 They Come Here For Love yes they do! Who else you got? You got Rand Paul and his daddy is a little cuckoo and the apple looks like it didn’t fall far from the tree. You’ve got a couple of religious conservatives whose stances on abortion and their public perception in the eyes of the Left Coast and big city liberal yokels will disqualify them in a national election(Rand Paul too. Hillary will dig that up). What other Dems you got going? Elizabeth Warren? Give me a break! People don’t want another 4 to 8 years of hard-left socialism, race baiting, class baiting, open borders, massive spending - or do they? I’m hoping the republic might start to hit the brakes before it goes careening off the precipice and takes the industrialised economies with it. So who have you got?

And I’m not interested in Jon Huntsman. No one is interested in Jon Huntsman. That’s why he did so appallingly when he ran last time. He’s a new age oddball and a non-entity. Besides, I have a very high security prerequisite for any presidential candidate. Obama would’ve failed the FBI background check to be his own body guard due to his past associations with terrorists and Stalinists on the FBI watch/arrest list. So he never should’ve been a candidate. And Huntsman should never be a candidate because we can’t be entirely certain of his patriotism…

Not accusing him of being unpatriotic of course but I have a very high security prerequisite for Presidential candidates as I said. Especially after the Alinskyite Western Marxists were able to get their plant in the WH.

…but true.

Edited

One of these cold blooded, calculating psychopaths turned on the other out of the blue and had his whole family lynched on international TV then cackled with maniacal glee. A very sick woman. Very sick indeed. And this is the sort of reckless, ideological fanaticism and stupidity we could do without in coming years.

We came!!? We saw!!! He died! Ah ha he he he!! Something’s not right. A power maniac. Very dangerous sort of person especially playing around in foreign policy; a disastrous record. Totally disqualifies her.

And Jeb Bush 3.0? Seriously? Another Bush? And the book he wrote with a radical libertarian about how the country needs open borders? Naked, pandering to the leftist radicals. You’d have to be out of your mind to trust Bush 3.0 on immigration / border security and therefore national security. You can’t count on him to reign in spending. They’re a big spending RINO family like the Rockefellers in bed with cronie capitalists and The Chamber of Commerce which is just a government kick back / slush fund for favoured corporate interests.

By the same token, I’m not blind to the fact that much of the tea party funding comes from the Koch family amongst others but the core Reaganites that are still around and speaking publicly are almost all behind these younger, conservative GOP wing like Cruz and Paul and Walker. Wasn’t Reagan a good President? Not perfect but wasn’t there a lot of bipartisan support - the Reagan Democrats - and he was proud to be American and reflected American values. He made a lot of people feel a lot safer too after the Carter years and his failures in dealing firmly with the Soviets and international Communism. The young tea party candidates like Cruz and Walker share all those values and are proud Americans. They seem serious about fiscal responsibility. They’re not overly religious or too religiously conservative to win the general yet they’re backed 100% by the religious conservative wing of the GOP. These are the guys who might be in for a chance. Not Jeb Bush 3.0 They Come Here For Love! And not that damned medusa HRC!

Seriously though, that’s how things play out on a collective level but as I’m not a biological determinist and as you meet exceptions from the norm I of course always treat the individual with respect until they earn otherwise which means not dad’s raisins.

I figured you would, he’s a first class douche.

LULZ…I assume you are a Euro?
Why would you assume that, I’m sure many people of all continents think he’s a douche, which isn’t that far fetched, considering he’s a douche.

I’m Angolan.
Angolan. That explains everything.
You wouldn’t know an explanation if you watched The Sixth Sense with the director commentary audio on and Bruce Willis was sitting next to you giving you pointers.

I can see why he likes Obama. Angola has had the same despotic President for 35 years; a warlord who amassed a fortune during the civil war and who terrorises journalists and political opponents. A radical anti-colonialist involved in war crimes against the Portuguese. For the most recent year counted Freedom House rates Angola as one of the most “Not Free” countries on earth:

https://freedomhouse.org/report/freedom-world/2012/angola#.VOkkytkazCQ

A veritable shithole down largely to the inability of the natives to govern themselves after destroying all the European institutions. That’s what happens when you culturally enrich a country. Actually I was thinking about the fact that Angola was a target of Castro’s La Revolucion and the Cubans fought a war there from 1965 to 1991. Che and Fidel were popular with some people over there.

How that relates to Cruz is his father is Cuban. His father was initially a supporter of Castro until he learned Castro was a communist. Then he became a staunch opponent of Castro and fled Cuba in 1957.

Now does it make even more sense why an Angolan would have a bug up his ass about about Ted Cruz?

Of course they do, people there aren’t exactly brainiacs. Anyone who’s ever been to Austin knows what I’m talking about.
The irony in this post is just too much!

You try to paint Texas and Republicans as “loony” then use one of the most liberal/left places in the USA to point out the lack of brainiacs. Classic.
They may be less conservative than the lot of you or my gramps but what you consider left is perhaps center right in most sane people’s mind.
If those people I met in Austin are leftists then I’m Ronald Reagan (also a douche) and y’all hopeless.

I’m not entirely familiar with Cruz, but from what I’ve read he seems very principled

This isn’t even challenging anymore. I provide well documented facts that no one can dispute, so in anger and frustration all the intolerant and barely educated have to resort to childish attacks against one’s nationality. A country who has been a victim of murderous scum.

Makes no matter. I already unleashed some epic ownage lately, I’ll allow you tea party fan boys to take some rest and recover. For now.

Next time I feel like going on an owning spree I’ll be taking no prisoners.
Just a warning.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

You troll well, you are not from Angola…nor have you posted any facts to back up your drunken bullshit.

You are the new HeadHunter…congrats. I’m guessing you are a student at a small liberal arts college back east, buried under snow and bored.

It’s the only possible explanation for being as asinine as you seem to try to project.

Why do all of you hate on liberal arts colleges when Ted Cruz came from Princeton with a degree in public speaking?

It’s a figure of speech for being empty headed. I’m sure you’ve seen or heard what goes on in Facultys of Arts around the country, eg feminazis, Islamofascist-antisemites-“in-disguise”, “rape culture” retards, “that’s racist” sob sob and so on.
These aren’t faculties of science, engineering, law, medicine, education, it’s all humanities, and it’s always Marxist at it’s root.

Okay, I’ll bite. Why is he a first class douche Mr knee-gro?
Probably for the same reasons you think he’s so awesome.

Everything he says is downright hateful, prejudiced, silly and superficially appealing to the right wing dumbasses that vote republican. I mean, this is a fucktard who denies climate change. You think he’s actually that dumb?

His take on gay marriage is backwards as fuck, his opinion on gun control is short sighted and retarded (he’s not the worst though).

Him trying to defund Obama’s exec action on immigration, as well as his anti Obamacare marathon speech make me wanna punch his face. Someone should pass a bill allowing me that.
Never mind the fact that this jizz face thought it’d be a good idea to shut down the government. How much did that cost? Even other Retar…I mean Republicans wanted to ass rape him.
That is a weak assed post. If you are going to talk shit, you need to provide some examples to back it up. Here I’ll show you how it’s done by adults.

Climate change. The so called scientists have been doctoring their data to support their conclusion that it is really happening and in order to affect governmental policy. ie climategate adjusting recorded temperatures upwards etc… That is not science therefore Cruz is right.

http://www.scibull.com:8080/EN/abstract/abstract509579.shtml
Okay I stopped here. Even if a couple of so called scientists doctored any data (which they didn’t), how does that prove Cruz right? Climate change is still real and there is enough undoctored data and common sense to support that fact.

If I doctor data to imply that Cruz isn’t a douche, that don’t mean shit cause facts are facts and he’s still a gigantic douche. And there’s enough undoctored data and common sense to support that fact.

Fuck if you ain’t gonna try to debate this intelligently, I’m not even gonna bother dismantling the rest of your retarded points, it’s almost like you reached a new level of stupid.
The wheels have been falling off of the global warming cart for years. Go educate yourself about climategate. I may not be the smartest person on this board but I am intelligent enough to understand that there are two sides to this issue with a lot of money and power at stake on both sides.

Unlike you I’m not a useful idiot being manipulated to do the bidding of General Electric. Here is a more in depth article about how the temperature data has been adjusted upwards.
pushharder wrote:
You do raise valid points but your “P.S.” deal is crap.
Well, I consider it crap precisely because there are so many ways to interpret it, and because I don’t think it actually does what it wants to do.

Suppose the following interpretations-

“To be a natural-born citizen, you must have been born in the U.S.”

There is an obvious pitfall with this. What if you were born in the U.S. but didn’t spend most of your time here anyhow?

What if you were born in the U.S., but to foreign parents who strongly affected your beliefs and raised you in a decidedly “non-American” (whatever that may mean) way?

Suppose the next interpretation-

“To be a natural-born citizen, both of your parents must be U.S. citizens, and there is no consideration of where you were born”.

Obvious pitfall- What if you were an army brat and grew up mostly in Germany or something?

There are many more, but these are just what comes most immediately to mind.

The point is- this requirement is supposed to prevent the POTUS from being someone who may not have the U.S.'s best interests at heart. But I don’t think it actually does that, particularly now that the world is so interconnected that going from place to place really isn’t that big of a deal.

Ted Cruz was ostensibly born in Canada, but clearly doesn’t seem to be Canadian in any sense of the word. Yet, as you wrote, a very strict interpretation of the “natural-born citizen” requirement will render him not eligible, which I find to be bullshit regardless of whether I agree with his politics or not.
