Really?

I think it’ll only stay… maybe if Obama gets re-elected… maybe… I bet it vanishes when the Republicans return to power.

What began as (what I thought was an exciting) libertarian-ish movement that could potentially have had broad appeal beyond the Republican base, has morphed into… the hard-core Republican base… social conservatism and all… it’s dominated by guys who called McCain a RINO, and think Ron Paul is liberal because he doesn’t think the government needs to be shoving socially conservative values down our throats… the “leaders” or at least vocal spokespeople are Neoconservatives now… Dick Army, Bachmann, Palin… the people supporting these folks are the same people who would have voted to give Bush a third term without batting an eye.
Spartiates!

Glad you chimed in! You just pointed out the nature of Evolutionary Paths…their divergent natures…and you are right; this seems to be the path The Party is headed down.

As I mentioned earlier in my thoughts on the Tea Party (and groups in general that gain political power); they inevitably seem to get “hi-jacked” by those who sense that power and wish to seize it. Then also just as predictable; their original message begins to get clouded.

We are seeing EXACTLY what you mentioned in the form “promises” and “signed pledges” and the like as almost a “litmus” test for the Tea Party supported candidate. Yes; there is the “limited government” stuff…but as you pointed out, we are beginning to see much more of the “social” criteria creep into these “pledges”.

As you know, you and I (and I think Bolt?) were just about the only ones on “PWI” who felt that this was a group that would fade once the “Satanic Trifecta” of Obama/Reid/Pelosi were gone and the GOP held the White House, and the Senate/House majorities. I probably still believe that. It would have been more correct to say that the Tea Party influence is most likely here to stay, especially as it continues to transform the GOP.

Right their you show your ignorance on the matter, it is so cheap because it is subsidized with tax money, they take a loss every year, The price is artificially suppressed. Similar to much of the food and clothes you buy, Look at the difference in the commodities exchange and prices in the stores. So the government borrows money, subsidizes all of these commodities to hide how bad inflation really is, and the tax payer is forced to pay back 120% of what they borrowed to keep people from realizing the truth of the value of goods and services. Yes that sounds like a great system to me.

But hey what do you care, the tax payers are funding your entire life, yay let the free ride role.
Wow name calling and miss information, is that all you ever have?

if you would look further than wiki or the USPS self run page, you would find that the USPS is still funded federally by something called indirect subsidies.

Now yes direct subsidies were phased out from 1971-1982, and the CBO tried to offer the curtailing of the indirect subsidies in 1984, but it was never done.

The really funny part is that Obama had both houses of Congress DEMOCRAT for two full years. And did he try to improve the economy? Noooooooo…instead he crammed health care down our throats.

Isn’t he a great leader?
its really pretty ridiculous. I think the established repubs and dems line of thinking was something like this: calling the tea party racists didnt work, so lets blame a financial crisis that we all have our hands in and has been years in the making on them. Yeah, that should stick.

then reid, boehner and obama do a pinky swear and cross their hearts in the triangle room (which is just above the oval office, and just below square room) to carry out the plan.

A couple of things; first it was insane for anyone to even try to implicate the Tea Party in this financial mess. When in fact they are for the exact opposite of what’s going on.

Secondly, while many main stream republicans are not fond of the Tea Party please don’t lump them with Obamawitz. I assure you that Boehner cannot stomach Obama in any way.

Well Koffea at least he has free health care now. Your right apbt55, I have just like the on in your avatar except light brown. Smart dogs, never had a dog like him and will stick with that breed.
The good thing Zeb is that they are attacking the Tea party which means we are a viable and real threat and growing daily my friend. We shall not form another party but slowly get rid of the RINOS like McCain. They are scared and it is starting to show hopefully the American folk will wake up.

Well well it barks again, I never said I was perfect fellow friend. Me wrong about the post office? Lol did you read my post, I work for the post office you buffoon. The post office has many problems and much of it has to do with the union and lots of red tape. There so many examples I could write a book about our issues.
The thing we can agree upon is that the post office has the capability and infrastructure to perform better than UPS and FedEx, though we are burden by penisons, prefunding for health care oh and did I mention the Unions?
Anywho argue the points not me. Im glad you stopped your passive aggressive statements, now they are only aggressive. So are you blaming the Tea Party for the Shameless photo-op of our POS Potus with the recent seals?

Well I got four daughters my friend and 2 are trained with rifles. Plus violence is not a solution we have to meet in the middle and be civil right my democratic friend?
Please keep it coming

Very few are true small gov’t politicians. Most are for big gov’t despite what they say. Votes speak louder than words.

Another corrupt Senator with his cronies. Conservative media cannot ask a question in this press conference.
