Tattoos In Bodybuilding

yes, because i must be a coward if i dont have a tat

anyone with a tat would bust me up

ive never been in a fight in my life, never trained, and am as weak as a child

and im probably dumb too, it’s amazing i can work this computer

and there is no hypocrisy in you telling someone to give out opinions only within striking range

tattoos are good for those who like them and they dont hurt people who dont have them so i dont see what the big deal is…there seems to be a large group of people concerned about what people might be doing to have fun, tattoos cant be in bodybuilding because a naked lady tattoo is better that a half naked dude anyday.(i understand that some ladies might take exception to this last comment…sorry)

I don’t understand. If you get to make instant assumptions about people based on something as simple as what their tattoo happens to be of, why can’t I make assumptions about you based on your writing?

You can tell by the post we are dealing with an opinionated kid.

Excellent. I’m glad we sorted this all out.

I have the chinese symbol for “desire” on my low back, and I’m a man. I got it because I believe if you have a desire, not a want or a passing interest but a true desire, then you’ll do what’s needed to get it. I also have my sister and two grandmothers names [my gaurdians, they passed away] written in cursive[sp?] in a band around my left upper arm, an athletic reference on my right pec and my family crest on my right delt.

My families creed is “nec cupias nec metuas” which translates to “neither fear nor desire.” Is that a contradiction? no, because in the context in which it is presented it means envy. Everything I have means something truly important to me, and some cake-punk ass clown who has no idea what he’s talkin about could never get me to change the way I feel. Ya’ll be good.

Amen WhiteFlash.

Yes, but your opinion is wrong.

What red blooded heterosexual male has something against girls who put out or are ‘freaks’ in bed? Am I on crazy pills here?

Just don’t end up in a Chinese prison.

Apparantly they are all sluts.

Personally, i am dealing with the indecision on getting a tattoo. I love tattoos and have 2 small ones that wouldnt effect how my muscles look. I’d like to get another tattoo but i want a rather large koi fish on my hip. I’d like to compete in figure and i dont know yet how far id like to go. wether to aim for pro or just to do it for my own personal sense of achievement. im only 21.

In a local competition i went to recently, i remember thinking that some of the competitors tattoos drew attention away from and even hid some of the muscle defintion. That’s just my opinion though. Not really important. I think it depends on how big the tattoo is and where you get it. I also think that it matters the more professional you get.

I’d like to know what the judges opinion is. Still don’t know whether to get my tattoo though.

Are tats aloud in professional bb? I don’t think i would ever go that far with my training but i would like a large chinese dragon with its head on my left forearm with the body stretching all the way across my back ending on my right forearm. somebody is probably going to have something to say about this, “not original enough”, “too big”, or some other negative comment. i thought this was about tattoos in bodybuilding not in punks or bikers or whatever else you fools are squabbling about

Dorian Yates and Lee Priest have tats. Dorian is a multi Mr. Olympia winning bodybuilder, and Lee Priest is famous for some of the best arms in bodybuilding.
Get whatever you want.

Fuck the maker of this thread.

WOW This is an old thread…

Makeup can be used to coverup a tatto if you think it is distracting for a competition. Something like Dermablend is used for birthmarks, etc…

Lame thread… go get some ink!

Dorian Yates used to be a skinhead and had his removed (or covered)…remember the boot on his forearm. He didn’t want the attention it would attract once he was making a name for himself. Not saying that he was necessarily a neo-nazi type, but maybe more of an Oi skin. Of course, the red suspenders didn’t help any. This was way before he turned pro. Found it in a book on social issues I was using for a school paper years ago.

I have several tatts. Fuck what other people think.
