this is mainly my point

and yes, sluts existed before the bullseye tattoo, now they just have a clear signal

i dont think peole with tats lack morals, far from, most people with tats now remind me of yuppies who start riding hogs on weekends when they are 45

outlaws are now mainstream

jesus christ, go to drudgereport and look at the tats justin timberlake is sporting

that is the shit that annoys me
Well, I do not think one could call all people with tats “mainstream”. Someone with facial tats and 2ga labret piercing is not mainstream, no matter where you are.

Most people in America are on some sort of diet. Does that make the Velocity Diet mainstream? A lot of people exercise, would that make Fat to Fire mainstream? Do the ladies at Curves compare in any way to Mariusz?

Certain actions may be somewhat commonplace, however it is the individuals who excel, those who take it to exciting extremes, who take something and make it special.

Here are some tats that are not mainstream:

There are artists and collectors who are really taking the community to new levels. Filip Leu, Paul Booth, the Kern brothers, Anil Gupta, Guy Aitchison, Michele Wortman, Bob Tyrell, Joe Capobianco, Tom Renshaw, Robert Hernandez. These names are comparable to Schwarzeneggar, Yates, Ahola, Kazmeier, Mills, and Samuelsson. Saying that the tattoos that these artists do are average or mainstream, is like saying the same about the above names of strength and physique.

Come to a tattoo convention and look around. You’ll see many people who aren’t in the norm at all.

As for a placement being unoriginal; there is finite space on the body. Eventually you run out of space, so avoiding a spot because it is “unoriginal” is kind of silly.

“Come to a tattoo convention and look around. You’ll see many people who aren’t in the norm at all.”

i absolutely agree with you

in my first post i mentioned how my biker uncle has a tat on the inside of his lower lip

i always seem to piss off the wrong people when i make a comment. if your really into tats it is obvious, and you should be against the chinese symbol, tribal art sporting fuckwits too

I saw a post about people showing off thier tattoos. Personally, I think tattoos have no place in bodybuilding.

I saw a post where some guy telling us how he thought tattoos did not belong in bodybuilding. PERSONALLY, I think this guy has no place at T-Nation.

Second that.
Body building and tattoos are part of art in which both involve the body. I respect the opinion however, I reserve the right to rip their head off with my tattoed arm.

I would comment again, but I would probably just write more stuff along the lines of the stuff that got pulled of the thread last time.

Against the chinese symbol? I have two and they mean something to me. They weren’t some split second decision made by pointing out something that looked pretty in a tattoo parlor. Who made you the authority on who can wear what on their bodies?

That’s funny. Someone is a fuckwit if you don’t agree with their tats.

I am really into tatts, and I dont like chinese symbols. But what that means to me is simply that I dont get one myself and I respect the people that make a decision to get one because obviously they like them.

Neither of us is right and neither is wrong, just different opinions. Just because I dont like them doesnt give me the right, or any remotely valid reason to say that the people that have them are fuckwits.

I think the fuckwit tag should be reserved for people that make comments like you have done.
kroby wrote:

Whoa there buddy. Back the generalization truck up. I got my tat back in 1987… before the fad. And I ride my hog every day, thank you very much. Betcha’ would have never guessed I’m a chemist?
What fad? I got mine in 1975 when I was an undergrad and girls didn’t get tattoos. It was a mark of initiation into a rock and roll band ( I was the bass player). It was done by Buddy Mott in Rhode Island and is still a beautiful piece of work. I am not nor was I ever a slut or hooker. It was my personal choice and to hell with what anyone thinks. Small minds make gross generalizations. There is no single “type” of person who has tatts, no matter how old or what gender they happen to be.

BTW… I think the statue of David would look great with a tatt.

Yo Mamma, being from RI, have you heard of Spider Webb from Ct? Cool dude. Cost me $50 and a six pack of tall boys.

You are lucky to have an original “Spidey” He is a talented artist…worth all the pain for the pleasure of his work.

the late actor oliver reed had a pair of hands tattoed on his cock.

that’s great and all, but im not trying to be authoritative, just giving my opinion

you can get a powdered whig and run around in a tutu, and my opinion would be that you look hilarious. that doesnt mean i think you shouldnt be allowed to do it.

Well, your opinion is duly noted. May I suggest you walk up to a few people and voice your opinion? I am sure some would love to hear it but only within a range of about 3 to 5 feet. Anything more is uncivilized.
