Anyone else have people talk to them just because they’re impressed by what you lift? I go to a fruity Uni gym and today had 3 guys talk to me, 1 knew his stuff, the other 2 were twits.
I’m usually nice and answer people’s questions but I really would prefer not to talk to people. Any tips on avoiding this?

It’s not about being an asshole. For chr***'s sake, I hate these posts. What do you do at work if you are busy and get interupted. You politely explain you are busy and will get back to them when it is convenient for you. It’s that simple. A quick answer and a quicker explanation that you are in the middle of your workout should suffice. If it doesn’t you have my permission to be a jerk.
Going to the gym doesn’t have to be an angry experience. It is a great place to meet like minded people who already share something in common with you. You never know, someone there just might be able to teach you something.

I agree if some scrawny kid comes up to me and tries to tell me im doing somethign wrong i brush him aside. But once in awhile ive had someone bigger and clearly more knowledgable come to me and make a few tweaks or modifications in my form and im happy to listen.
