Hello, i am new to the T-mag forum so i dont know if this is the right place to post my question, so anyway here it goes.
I am half the way of a Fat Fast program, and i am planning to add a short Cytomel (T3) cycle of no more than 4 weeks to help in the proccess of getting cut.
I am planning to use 50mcg /day for 4 weeks, taking all the precautions stated by almost any profesional (Build up the doses to see if i tolerate T3 well…Etc…)
My Real question is: Is a 4 week plan with the doses stated by me above still dangerous in terms of permanently inhibiting my tyroid?. What kind of risks am i exposed to by fallowing a plan like the one i am hopping to do?
Any kind of help or recomendation will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Boris,
the answer is no, you should not have to worry about permanent damage to your thyroid after only 4 weeks use.
YOur tsh levels will rebound upon cessation of use, similar to the way testosterone levels rebound through the mechanism of negative feedback. With this being said, make sure to taper up your t-3 dose, but don’t taper down as once endogenous levels are suppressed merely reducing the dosage will not lessen the suppressiveness nor allow for recovery.
Good luck, t-3 is incredible.
BTW, make sure to be running something that will keep you in an anabolic state because I know several competitive bbers who “deflate” so to speak when taking cytomel.

I’m going to chime in here with a question of my own.
I’ve been interested in T-3 for a while, but never have used it because of the possible sides. Now, I have mild hypertension which I control by taking one (1) 50mg. Atenolol tab/day. My doctor suspects that my hypertension is related to family genetics, but mainly plain ol’ excess fat weight.
Are there significant risks in using T-3 if you are hypertensive with a family history of heart disease? My understanding is, in this situation, its use is just too risky. Am I right here?
Thanks,
