Halo 2 player here. I have gears, but just haven’t gotten into it. I am probably on playing H2 about 1-2 times a week on average.

so how are the new maps for gow
i havent been able to play since my xbox is dead (i took it home to play during the holidays and my little brother and his friends dropped it), so i wont be on for like another 2 weeks.

The new maps are pretty good. I really like Old Bones. It’s a big level with buildings on both ends and a huge open courtyard area between them. Raven Down is fun but it’s built for quick close quarters matches. It’s really small and tight. You take about 10 steps and you’re face to face with the other team. I think the shotgun was the only weapon I used in Raven Down.
I just picked up CoD3 so I might be a bit distracted from GoW.
I’m definitely enjoying the online experience but having been a formerly obsessed fan of counterstrike (the PC version)I hate when it comes down to shotty’s.
Anyways, I’m looking forward to seeing what CoD3’s live action is like. Should be interesting with up to 12 players per team.
Last night’s game was a hoot – thanks to Brute777 for hosting. It was nice to put voices with the names, actually.
When’s the next? And Billy McB, accept the friend request, will ya? I’ve got to go practice to figure out how to get to you before you pistol whip me (six times or so)…

Last night was great! I don’t know why that stupid connection error kept popping up though. I was having some technical issues the past couple of weeks but I did everything microsoft said and all of my settings have been adjusted accordingly. Oh well, it was still a good time. I hope to be on tonight but I think my fiance wants to go to the movies. To say that I’ve neglected her the past two evenings in favor of playing gears would be an understatement.
And Billy McB is a cold hearted pistol whipping dude. I’m glad he was on my team!

I’d read about the hacks (can post URLs if anyone’s interested) and read that MS is cracking down hard, kicking anyone implicated off of Live (among other things)to protect the integrity of the online game.
It had to happen eventually, I guess.
I’m too poor to buy a 360 right now. I guess I will just have to keep playing Hello Kitty Island Adventure 2 until then.
