That Alabama win couldn’t have come at a better time. Just when my UF buddies were chanting for an NC. Sorry guys time to sit and mope about the only 1 you’ve got.

An early loss doesn’t mean shit. Just look at Miami. They could have one loss and still be undefeated the rest of the season and end up playing for the NC. Same for the Gators!
Texas Tech travels to Nebraska Saturday. It would be really nice if they could light up the scoreboard for 70 points like they did against the Huskers last year.

no shit, with nebraska being 5-0 right now we need them to lose a big 12 game or 2… that way when we slaughter them in our final game, we can head to the Championship 9-2 to face texas again… as if there’s a chance of anyone beating texas right now.
as for the red raiders, they have an amazing offense, at least against 1-AA and first year 1-A teams for the time being.
Just curious, but who do y’all think will be #2 in the Nation at the end of the year?
Texas will probably go Undefeated,
other undefeated teams right now are:
Penn St. (amazing)
Wisc (B. Calhoun can lick a bulldog’s nasty asshole)
Nebraska (who lucks out this year and plays struggling Oklahoma, but really hasn’t beaten anyone worth a crap yet)
Texas Tech (who will most likely lose to Texas)
Virginia Tech (MARCUS!)
Florida St
Georgia
Cal & UCLA (who will both probably lose to USC, and also play eachother this week).
and then there’s one loss Notre Dame who looks REALLY GOOD right now… it pains me to say that too bye the way… but they who will probably lose to USC
SO who will it be?
I’m going to go with Texas, even though I hope that CU whips’em this year.
Tech hung 30 on KU in Lubbock. They’d be lucky to get that many in Lincoln, especially with a quarterback in his first road start. I hope Hodges likes the taste of FieldTurf.

I’ll make the bet right now - the T-sippers won’t be in the Big-12 championship game. Tech will beat Texas. Mark it down.
Tech has some good offense, or so people might think.
Tech could barely muster up 30 points against Kansas and Texas defense is much better… their offense might not have the 700 yards per game avg right now… but Tech beating them is a long shot.
All I know is that there is a possibility this year for 3 or 4 teams to go undefeated, which could yet again make the BCS the laughing stock of the sports world… again.

doubt it … even as much as i hate you, i hope you are right … and to go with that prediction, cal will dominate sc, and cal and tt will rematch this year … this time though, it’s in pasadena.
I lost a bet with TriGWU… fucking Miami covered the spread so I have to use this dang U thing for 100 posts.
At first it said SUCKS under the U, but a couple peeps around here thought it was a little ‘unsportsmanlike’ I just thought it was funny to razzle Trig a little… anyhow, I’ve got to get to like 815 posts or so I don’t remember… but I’m a ways off right now.

Since we have had Leach as head coach, our offense has had the top offense in the nation. The last 3 qb’s we’ve had have al been seniors starting for the first time.
Tech has a winning record against the Longhorns since Leach come on board.
The only reason I am running my mouth about the Red Raiders is because it looks like they might actually have a defense this year.
Nebraska has a shitload of sacks this year - but who have they played? The Huskers pose no problem for Tech’s Offense. Besides - their offense is abysmal.
Tech has always had trouble putting points on the board against KU.
You doubters line up to throw your stones at me, I don’t care. But - when I am proven right, I get to gloat like like a fat woman at her own wedding.

This season has tested my resolve as a Pitt fan. At least it’ll get better. That much I’m certain of.
My prediction for the Rose Bowl:
USC vs. VT/Texas (still can’t pick one between these two yet)
Dave wa-wa was a bad choice and you are stuck with that for a while. My condolences.
Except for a pretty successful run as D-coor. for Dallas, I’m not sure how this guy has maintained a job.
We’ll agree to disagree. Spurrier was a helluva college coach and absolutely stunk in the NFL. Pete Carroll’s tenure in the NFL wasn’t as good as Wannstedt’s. People forget that Wannstedt’s Dolphins teams strung together 10+ win seasons in what was the toughest division in the league for that stretch. He also had a better record than his more heralded predecessor and mentor Jimmy Johnson.
What does that all mean? Basically that fickle NFL fans like yourself can’t see past the objective truth that it’s far too early to judge Wannstedt as a college coach. I suggest you look at Pitt’s recruiting class on the Rivals network. It kicks ass. Things will probably get better sooner than later.
