I am a huge fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes. I have been since I was 11. I think we can win the big ten this year.
GO HAWKEYES!!!

Speaking of the Big 10 - What happened yesterday?
And there are those that discounted my opinions about the Big-10.
BUT -
Number 3 loses to Notre Dame, Number 4 loses to the T-sippers, and The Mighty Hawkeyes bows out to the in-stata rival ISU.
Kinda lends a little crediblity to my previous assertion that the Big-10 is less than a top tier conference. Oh - it probably doesn’t go that far, but I think the Big-12 really outshown the Big-10 this weekend.

I’m just thinking that the overall level of play across all conferences is slowly becoming equal. Parity. This weekend was fun for all of college football.
That was a great game last night. Hook’em!

I am a Gator fan all the way so Nate how can you like the gators and also like the enemy! kidding
Iowa State broke the Hawk’s QB and then Steve Hicks channeled the elemental powers of nature to carry the rest of the game.
Oh, and our line didn’t suck like normal.
Iowa blows, Go State.

Did Tri actually say that his quarterback looked good Monday night?
Anyways…on to this week.
Ohio State will handle Texas. Texas is good. Ohio State is better and playing at home…at night. Bucs 24 Horns 13.
By the way. Badgers are in my blood. '83 grad. All the naysayers best beware–the Big Ten is Big this year. Bucs–hawks–wolverines–Purdue all are very good.[/quote]
Wright did look pretty good. Him and Olsen were connecting. It was the OLINE that was terrible. You cannot blame a QB for 9 sacks.
I must say… the way this season is playing out…
I wouldn’t be surprised to see the NC have two 1 loss teams
Michigan’s performance so far is extremely dissapointing. I don’t know what the fuck is going on. There was much drowing of sorrows among us students here in Ann Arbor last night. I also hate the new review rules they instituted this year.

But I bet the Irish fans think the review rules are great.

RJ…
Your damn right…however props still need to be given. The ND D played very well…the O took the second half off it seems. But as you mentioned in a prior message…this goes to show you how weak the Big Ten is.
Well I’m a Nebraska fan all the way.Born and raised in Nebraska, lived in the heart of Big Red Country for two years(Lincoln of course)They played much better against Wake Forest than they did against UM. Though I still think Cory Ross is the most overrated running back UNL has ever had.
With that being said on principle I root against any and all teams from the states of Florida,Michigan and California. Other than Nebraska I root for Oregon.
BTW…I’m beginning to think that Dave Wannstedt is cursed. Honestly that game between Pitt and Ohio was ugly as hell.Atleast Frank Solich got a win though…kinda interested to see how the Huskers do against them!

Yeah, I think so too…or at least one of the teams having one loss.
I think there’s a good chance ND could pull a shocker on USC, and no one comes out of the ACC, PAC 10, Big 10, or SEC undefeated.
Hmmm, anyone heard from Panther lately? If he’s right about the Big East’s best chances for a top 25 program are Louisville (legit) and Pitt (?) then the BE is in serious trouble. Come on, losing to Ohio??? That’s a motherf_ing OUCH!

I have to believe Henne was either chickenshit or he was hung over. So many passes that were just under-overthrown.
Then, the ND defence just keyed in on the tight end, who seemed to be his favorite reciever all day on the short routes, etc.
Michigan’s defence proved that they can play in the second half, why they were napping in the first half is beyond me.
Have to say, though, Charlie Wiess put together a pretty strong gameday product. Quinn was impressive and thier running back has some real good moves/quicks. Teams are going to have to recognize ND as a power. Wiess is famous for being able to change his gameplan midstream and to have more tricks up his sleave than Houdini. No offence to Billingham, but Weiss seems to be the right choice here early in the season for ND. That being said I still hate them with all of my heart. Lets hope MSU learns from U of M next week.
GAINER.
At least Ohio State lost. That’s good.
I just have one thing to say:
LSU LSU LSU LSU!!! GO TIGERS!!!

I root for the Gators all the time. I root for FSU only when it doesn’t hurt the Gators!
I should start betting on college football to make money. I’ve been right on almost every game (except OSU’s loss to TCU). I could make big bucks calling winners like FSU, Texas, etc.!!!

I gotta say, that was incredible… My GF and I just nestled into bed and were watching the tail end of that game nearly in tears after watching that last touchdown. And we’re safe and sound in Cali. Must have been an awesome thing for the folks affected by Katrina to see that thier team can overcome and be victorious. Then, the Saints won yesterday as well… Totally amazing.

Don’t do it Dogg.
Don’t fall into that trap. It’s totally different when there’s money on the line. Don’t ask me why, it just is. I knew guys in college who said that. 6 months later they have withdrawn from school because of gambling debts.
