T-Nation College Football Thread

Did Tri actually say that his quarterback looked good Monday night?

Anyways…on to this week.

Ohio State will handle Texas. Texas is good. Ohio State is better and playing at home…at night. Bucs 24 Horns 13.

By the way. Badgers are in my blood. '83 grad. All the naysayers best beware–the Big Ten is Big this year. Bucs–hawks–wolverines–Purdue all are very good.

Definitely going to be a great game. I think you’re one of the first UT fans I’ve come across that isn’t completely confident that they’ll win! Probably because you’re smart enough to realize that they dont stand a chance!

BTW, a little off topic, but I recently saw an interview with Mike Kudla (OSU D.E.), he claimed to be able to bench 610!

GO BUCKS!

My ex (amicable breakup due to distance) is a recent Texas Ex and will be on the UT sideline for that game. I envy her…

Yes and no. You best lay your hands off her. I’m workin on the whole distance thing…

Well, I do think Texas will win, but OSU looks good. So we’ll just see what happens.

Too close to call, but I’m giving tOSU an edge in this game. Vince young will not have the lanes he’s used to getting with the speed and instincts of tOSU’s LB’s. They’re going to dare him to throw the ball and I’m not sold on whether he has the accuracy and pocket presence to deliver. I personally think this game will come down to ball control and special teams. Whoever can run the ball most effectively and get the best field position will win.

You are right about the team that wins will run the ball effectively and gain the best field position. Honestly, I just want UT to beat OU in a few weeks. I am excited about tomorrow though.

ISyracuse will get there too, IMO. But it’s going to take them a while longer. Pasqualoni’s last 2 or 3 recruiting classes have been pretty bad and that’s going to bite Robinson in the ass a few times before he completely rights the ship.
Sad, but true. The recruiting was downright atrocious the last few years. We went from guys recruited by several big-name programs to stealing recruits away from Kent St. and Villanova and let guys like Mike Hart go unrecruited. P-brain had a good thing going early in his tenure but then he just seemed to turn on the cruise control after McNabb left. It was actually a combination of coaching, the old AD and a Chancellor who didn’t really give a damn about the Athletics. All are gone and replaced by proactive people. But I still think they can do good things as early as this year because of the strength of the defense. Tough schedule though with Virginia and Fla St. in Sept and at ND later.

Who is your team…

I suppose I don’t need to answer that. So I’ll just say…

GO BUCKEYES!!!

Right there with you.

Go Bucks!!!

We don’t have to win it all, we just have to beat Michigan!!!
GO Bucks!!! I will be in Columbus tomorrow for the showdown with Texas. Tailgating starts at noon for us. Is anyone else going to be there?

I hate the t-sippers as badly as they can be hated. Them and A&M. But I will always root for a Big 12 team when they are playing ANYONE from the Big 10.

The Big 10 is one of the biggest jokes in big time college football- almost on par with the Big East.

Fall and Football…best time of the year!!
American Girl, are you from NE? I’m in Lincoln. Looks like a bleak year. I’m predicting 4-7. Go Huskers!

First and foremost, I’m a Gator fan, so I’d love to see them win it all. Chris Leak is the man.

Now, I think Virginia Tech has a really good chance, so I’m rooting for them, too.

However, what I most look forward to every week is watching the Hurricanes lose. I live in Miami, but I can’t stand them.

Go Gators.

How in the hell can you compare the Big 10 to the Big East? Can you please backup your comments with some facts? The Big Ten is arguably one of the top two best conferences in the country. I agree with you on your political comments, but this comparison is pathetic.

I don’t care what happened last week…

BOOMER SOONER…

they say if you’re going to lose its best to lose early…we got it out of the way right at the start this year!

I’m in Lincoln as well. 4-7? With our schedule? Are you kidding?

RJ’s CFB analysis as a whole has been a fucking joke. Just don’t take it very seriously and you’ll get a few good laughs every time he posts.

The Big 12 North is probably the weakest collection of FB programs in the BCS right now. You should be thankful the South division is on such an upswing. Although with OU and OSU playing the way they have recently and with a smoke and mirrors program like Texas Tech and Baylor still being Baylor, I’m not so sure they’re as stacked as they’ve been recently. This could be a two-team conference with Texas and Texas A&M being the clear frontrunners.

           GO BUCKS!!!!!!!!

Dear Justin Zwick:

Please learn to hang on to the ball.

Dear Troy Smith:

Please learn to not hang on to the ball (when you are being sacked in the endzone, that is).
