T-Men in History

Sorry, Mike…that last post directed to you was from me! Mufasa

I recently spent some time on the internet learning about Alexander the Great. Though I don’t consider him to be very moral or compassionate, very few great military leaders are. Military goals are rather devoid of morals for good reason, it’s hard to kill the enemy infront of you if you think about his wife and kids. Just an observation.

BTW - I was researching him because I found out my husband is a direct decendant of Alexander. My husbands father was full blooded Macedonian born on a ship on the way to the US. He had dual citizenship in both countries. His parents told him that he was a direct decendant. Strangely enough, on my husband’s mom’s side of the family he is related to general Robert E Lee.

Actually, naturalman, I just mentioned that to get a rise out of jason, since it seems to be an ongoing thing. I realize that was a mistake because it would just elicite long, nonsensical, made up facts on his part. I was a bit harsh, but that, to a degree is how I feel. Am I threatened? Oh no. Can I back up my claims that cathololism is just a satanic perversion of the Word of God? Sure, but not here, as this is not a religious forum. Sorry to disturb you. As for Jason, this will be my only remark to you. Jesus never founded a church. In 33ad (which is off by a few years, of course) he died and rose again. He never founded the Roman church. The Roman church was founded in about 500ad, when Constantinoble (sorry for the spelling) felt he needed to integrate christianity with the paganistic cultures of the time.

My choice for a T-man is Rene Levesque. He gave Quebec hope, pride, and an identity. He was short, ugly as sin, but always had a babe somewhere. He married a very pretty lady too.

one more t-man addition. John Holmes. He was one funny ass dude.

jason, i can’t say whether is a god or not, i’m not much of a believer. so all of that means nothing to me.
i do know this, i will always judge a person on their merit and how they treat me or make me feel. color or religion doesn’t matter to me.

I would like to say that all Catholic’s are not bigoted nimrods. I just have to clear the air on that…People please don’t judge all Catholics on Baran. He is a little metally disturbed and deserves our pity. He really doesn’t understand what he says or does. True Catholic teaching repects all people of all creeds and colours, we are all equal in the eyes of God.
Historic T-man? I’d say…my dad. He had alot of balls escaping from communism to give me a free life. To much detail to get into, but it was a risky scheme, trust me.

re: newbie, I take it your post is in response to another thread regarding subject’s irresponsible use of a substance? I think I grok you.

Phenomenon: Good call on Jesus. While we're at it, let's not forget the disciples and Paul, and the entire Church during its birth. The book of II Cor. is great. Chapt. 11 has been a particular source of inspiration.

Bronx, neither do I want to get caught up on a theological debate on this forum. However, I am not sure how your views on catholicism are any different from Jason’s regarding Jews. Personally as a Catholic I’m going to attempt to let the statement go without refuting it. Anyways, peace out.

My votes: Jesus Christ and Martin Luther. Jesus, obviously for bringing spiritual Truth to the world, and then Martin Luther for bringing it back after Catholic corruption.

Jason R. Baran:

Head out of my ass eh? I only wish I was that flexible. By the way your mother IS that flexible. Reality? I think I have a good grip on reality. You my friend have a problem with reality or should I say denial. You see I believe the main root of racism(today) is fear and a lack of self worth. You fear that the other races are going to “take over” and exacte some kind of vengence. Also deep down I think you believe that your inferior in some way to the other races(one or maybe all). Then you have that mentality of “if I can’t beat it I’ll destroy it”. You are denying these truths about youself. Come on Jason set yourself free. Lastly this is a forum for bodybuilding and strength sports not a place for you and your racist litanies. I grow tired of always seeing the same name posting garbage on the t-mag forum. Jason I would be more than happy to listen to your thoughts on training and nutrition and offer my thoughts inreturn. Therefore lets end this arguing in this thread and keep the rest of the posts to something more related to this site. I fully realize your going to have to try and hammer me for this post. Go ahead Jason, then we can get on to talking about training.

re: ironbabe (what a nickname eh?)

I agree with the war thing… hence nameing Ghengis Khan. Named Martin Luther not because I’m protestant (REALY couldn’t care less about any religions at all, to each his own) but because of the conviction to his beleifs. Catholics do have realy cool looking churches tho, and great Artwork!

Ironbabe-if your husband’s father was born in the FYR of Macedonia, he is no descendant of Alexander. Alexander was Greek, Macedonia was the northern part of Greece in ancient times (now Thessaloniki). The modern day Macedonia is populated by Slavic/Illyrian people who have little to do with the ancient northern Greeks. Your husband’s father probably has closer blood ties with Alexander’s ancient enemies, the Persians, than the ancient Macedonians.
BTW, the Greek Orthodox church is the oldest organised christian religion-the modern day Roman Catholic church split from the establishment, just as the latter protestant churches did. Get your facts right Bronxbomber-and yes, I do accept your personal apology for the 4th Crusade via the Pope.

I do not know what part of Macedonia or where exactly his grandparents are from, or their grandparents for that matter. His father was born, not in Macedonia, but on a ship coming to the US. The only way he was given this information was through his father, who passed away when he was a very small child. (His mom later repeted the info to him when he was older). Is he really a direct decendant? Maybe, no one to ask now. Still I think it’s pretty interesting to think about.
