I like the Bauer Chronicles on the T-Cell Alpha…but…I have a man-crush on Bauer…UNLESS he starts saying Wall-E was a good movie…then I’m driving to Pee Fucking A, locating his trailer, and kicking his weenie ass all over his front lawn.

For the record, I never believed him when he said he was leaving. I also thought he and ARL were the same.
Think of him like Lawry’s seasoned salt - he adds a certain, er, flavor to the board.
I thought the topic “Character Assassination” in Politics and World Issues was about HH/ARL… and I expected this exact conversation to be taking place there.

Wait…that surprised you? You actually thought HH wasn’t prone to things like that?
The only thing interesting about HH or any character he creates…is that several people on this forum seem to actually not be able to tell how much of a troll he is.

I couldn’t hear from the Air Force jets flying over. How’s that again. Prof? Or maybe it was ‘the Wind’?
Let’s see…a guy who gets booted from the Air Farce, comes on here with his lamentations about it, then acts like the sanctimonious little boy he is. You never grew up, Prof.

So says the guy who creates two identities for the purpose of trolling an internet forum.

Lmao!
HH rocks!

I could be wrong, but I don’t think “elite”, “pompous” or “Ivory Tower” people would be here trying to explain what “TCA” is all about.
They simply wouldn’t give a damn what the “common” folk thought or felt. (The highest of sarcasm meant).
I can’t talk about or ‘pompous’ as I didn’t write that, but I think Ivory Tower may apply - a separate area, concentrating on a specific area, ‘cleansed’ from interference. I also think we outside get what it’s about - some of us may not agree how that was achieved.
Being called an ‘idiot’ (I may paraphrase Prof X wrongly, but I think that’s what he meant) for agreeing with someone he (and I by the way) do(es)n’t like speaks volumes though.
So besides being a responsible poster on a free site trying to raise the quality of the debate - which I see as something to make it better, we have to ‘support’ it. You refer to buying Biotest products, I presume? If that is an entry requirement to be passed, then I would suggest to Biotest making this a paid membership site - with access levels based on the purchase level of its posters. That would be only fair. Although of course, they’s have to change their marketing strategy.
When I find myself (God forbid) only trolling and finding fault with anything and everything about the Site, then I’m gone.
Mufasa
Luckily not all of us few critics of the TCA only troll and find fault. HH mostly trolls, and everyone knows that. Big deal. I find it a bit sad though that this thread ends up as a HH spanking match while constructive criticism seems to be ignored.

You’re doing good, Makkun; so don’t start “StrawMan” arguments.
Not once have I, nor will I ever , mention purchasing “Biotest” products as a criteria for support of this Site.
Also, there are plenty in “TCA” who have most likely made minimal, if any, purchases of “Biotest” products. It never has been, nor will be, a criteria for entry.
Again, I think your characterization of some sort of “elitism” is missplaced.

Sorry if I have misunderstood you - no straw man ‘argument’ intended. But what do you mean then by ‘supporting’ the site, besides posting responsibly - and contributing constructive criticism?
I’m aware that there are many non-purchase members on TCA. I actually tried to point out though that I wouldn’t have a problem with a premium/paid-for membership system. That would imho be more fair than a ‘tap on the shoulder’ / ‘selected members select other members’ system. To put it plainly, I don’t want to be told by any other member, where I can post or not.

Mufasa
How do you characterise the current system then? It may not have been intended as such, but it surely seems to be treated by some of its members as ‘Alpha’ in the wrong sense:
Read the ‘Holy Shit, I’m an Alpha Dog Now’, ‘TCA=Success’ threads and tell me that I’m misunderstanding the overall tone. I’ll be happy to revise my opinion on that point.
[edit]: Strike that last paragraph. I re-read the ‘TCA = Suceess Thread’, and its tone is not as I remembered. I have misunderstood that one. I still resent the overall principle as stated earlier.
Makkun
Cool.
We can then agree to disagree.

Wouldn’t long-distance choking be a better response to this?

Not that I don’t want to, but I’m broke as hell 90% of the time so I just end up buying some cheapie whey protein isolate and mixing it with milk.
Once I come into some cash I intend to make a little fort of cans of Metabolic Drive and harass passerby.
