As for how many millions I have, WTF does that have to do with anything??? Are you implying that it’s okay to sell out just for the money or it’s okay for him to be an idiot at commenting on the fight BECAUSE he has millions? Homie don’t play that…[/quote]
Well it seems that you’re getting very worked up about this.
What I meant is that before you call someone an idiot, look at their accomplishments and see how they stack up against yours. Stallone is more accomplished than most - if not all - people on this board.

Now you’re getting a little ridiculous.
I, like most, took his comment as referring to his calling of the fight. To that, he was bad–an idiot–if you must.
But having money doesn’t make you accomplished. I’m sorry. Being in movies doesn’t make you accomplished in and of themselves. There are many highly educated people doing important jobs on this board and should be afforded some respect.

“Okay, let me qualify that, he was an “idiot at commenting on the fight” how’s that? I didn’t bother elaborating on his life outside of just that one episode and took it for granted that people would assume that I was referring to him as an idiot WITHIN the realms of this show and more specifically with his commenting on that last episode. Obviously, I was wrong in my assumption, hopefully I clarified. And I still stand by my statement he’s an idiot at commenting on the fight.”
I don’t know if he’s an idiot (in the sense that some of you are interpreting it) or not and I don’t care. This post has turned from posting my opinion on Stallone’s commentaries during last fight to arguing semantics. “He’s an idiot, but he’s not, yes he is, but he’s not since he has his own pudding.”
Read my clarification, hopefully that’ll steer any further post (if any) back on track.
As for the fight itself, while yes, Peter did back Sergio against the ropes during most of the fight but Sergio was the more effective of the two! He seriously looked to be 1.5 times faster than Peter and Peter seemed to gas out much earlier.
Cinderella Man is coming soon enough gentlemen.
and I heard it was one for the ages, right up there with Raging Bull.
GAINER

If “more accomplished” automatically makes you NOT an idiot at commenting on a boxing match no matter how horrible of a job you did, then by all means, if what people have said of Stallone is true, he did an amazing job at commenting.
However, that correlation is far from the truth and once again, I say he’s an idiot at commenting on the fight.
I’ve also heard that Cinderella Man will be the next Raging Bull. Only problem I see is Renne Zellwegger not a fan of her’s really.
that show woulda been better if they showed they frickn fights . except for last night every fight was wicked edited like a movie with who wants to be a millionaire sound effects and rabid family members. most of the time ya couldn’t even see how they moved or what part of that teeny tiny ring they were in. i liked the ultimate fighter. they showed the whole fights without all the bullshit editing. yeah stallone kinda blew it when he started sayin’ “rematch” in the second round didn’t he ?

I knew somebody would bring this up. The man is an actor/writer/director/producer, he won an Oscar which is considered by most to be the top honor you can receive in the entertainment business. That means that he is/was the best of the best (during that year). THAT is an accomplishment. How many of us can make a claim like that?
(I don’t know why I’m even defending the man, I’m not a big fan of his. Over and out.)
It would take a lot more than Sly’s idiot comments to degrade boxing.
I thought the show was good, but the last fight sucked. I mean, Ive never seen so much hugging in my life.
I thought, and still think Gomez should have went all the way…Manfredo is way to overrated…imo.
anybody see the jack johnson documentary ? that was some awesome shit !

No, boxing was degraded many years ago by corruption and the lack of exciting fighters.

Don’t forget Don King…he didn’t help the sport any! But…even he is not and idiot…![]()
Everyone dumber than me is an idiot; everybody smarter than me is wacko.
Yeah, your right! I wish Rocky would have shut his mouth more & let Sugar Ray talk more.
That’s was a great show, loved it! Ready for whatevers next.

Wow. It’s nice when a brief hijack provides better reading than the entire thread surrounding it.
i just got tv a couple months back. hadn’t had it since school. seven years. tv saves me a wicked lot of money not havin’ to go out drinkin’ to see games. also i swear i’m recovering better since i got tv. must be some kinda gamma rays or something.
