I don’t think the stress of a tattoo is on par with the stress of shit heavy weight training so if you aren’t lifting you are resting. 8 weeks of intense training and 1 off week is fine.

For the eating question I don’t think it really matters but if you can eat a meal in 2 minutes you probably aren’t eating a 12 oz steak with a baked potato and a spinach salad ha. No need to rush unless you have trouble getting the food in, but no need to sit around pushing food around the plate either.
