Switching from Cypionate to Enanthate. Any Noticeable Differences or Transition Effects?

Hello guys,
I have been on TRT for about 9 months now, and feel great at my current dosage of 20mg subq EOD. Test levels came back at 742 total T.
Are there any noticeable differences, or transitional side effects from switching? Do blood testosterone levels change at all? I am hoping for someone who has gotten blood work after switching and maintaining their current dosage. Just to ease my mind here. I do understand it has the same ester.
I am finally feeling great, so I am a little nervous about changing medicine. Thank you all for your help in advance!

No. They have the same pharmacokinetic properties.

Happy that you feel good!

I notice a huge difference between cypionate and enanthate, in fact I don’t get anywhere near the same levels. I can do 5mg cypionate daily or 7mg enanthate and I still feel better on the cypionate, but the cypionate will aromatase more.

Not everyone will be able to tell a difference, it all depends on your androgen sensitivity. There is a half-life difference, small though. The cypionate mass is heavier than the enanthate.

If you feel great, leave it alone.

No, there is no difference.

That’s not what I see, I see a difference in the mgs (194 enanthate versus 200mg cypionate) while the graph shows in dental trajectory between the two which only validates what I said.

I’m not the only one who has notice a difference, there are others. I notice a big difference between 5 and 7 mg daily.

I was prescribed both separately at different times. First enanthate then cypionate and didn’t realize I was switched until 6 month later. Now I’m prescribed cypionate/enanthate combo for whatever reason. All three feel the same to me.

thats because the molecular weight of the ester moiety is different. The amount of testosterone injected is the same.

There are other variables you aren’t considering, like how each individual processes and reacts to these compounds. I’m sure in the future the question will be asked and answered. There is a gene that some men have that enables them to feel the effects of testosterone immediately according to Dr. Saya who has seen this gene present in men claiming to feel effect right away.

I believe this is what you are not according for, typical human behavior believing we got it all figured out.

That’s fascinating. I must have this gene.

I think for most people there’s no appreciable difference between the two and can be used interchangeably.

If you happen to feel better with one or the other just go with it, but there’s no real way to determine that ahead of time.

You when I start a new protocol as my levels swing, my heart rates surfs these swings as many men have reported, immediately following my next injection, my heart rates drops back down to 120/60.

This happened after my first 7mg injection a little more than a week ago and hadn’t had an injection since October 12th. I don’t get these numbers on BP medicine, but TRT drops the BP down.

Cypionate is no longer covered by my insurance but Enanthate is. I am going to try the Enanthate and see how it works. Otherwise I will just opt to pay out of pocket for the Cypionate.

I noticed this as well from the start of my TRT. I questioned how it started working so quickly. I guess there is some science behind it. I also notice when I change dosages it effects me quickly as well. When I went from 15mg EOD to 20 EOD I started feeling better within a few days. Anything under 15mg for me gives me low test side effects, and very low energy and libido. I slowly ramped UP FROM 7MG eod TO NOW 20MG EOD and my Hemoglobin is finally stable after therapeutic phlebotomy. My Dr. had me donate every week for 4 weeks, and now I am on my second month without donating and bloods yesterday were perfect… I have been battling TRT to stabilize since the start it has taken me 9 months to finally feel great. So yeah it’s a little nerve racking changing medicine. I am the type of person who is very sensitive to any changes. We will see here. I am going to run out the rest of my Cypionate and start the Enanthate on the 13th of next month when I pick up my script. I guess now my question is… Will I need to up my dosage a few ticks to 22mg subq EOD to compensate?

Thank you I really appreciate that… It has been a battle to get to where I am at on TRT.
I am happy to see some familiar faces here on this thread. You guys really helped me along the way. Couldn’t have done it without you guys.

I noticed more water retention on Ethanate did anyone else get that?

I feel like cyp bulked me up just as fast but my abs appeared much quicker.

Doing the same workout on Ethanate and diet is clean with low carbs. Should I try dandelion root to expel the water or not risk due to possible liver and kidney damage?

That’s where you’re wrong my friend. There’s about 1-2% more base hormone with test E compared to C… so there’s a tiny, tiny, marginal difference that pertains no significance

Just messing around… from a pharmacological point of view the difference is nil to none.

Unbelievable, cheap basterds. Makes you wonder what’s next.

Insurance makes money by screwing people over, of course it’s no longer covered. In Australia injectable medium estered testosterone (testosterone enanthate or sustanon) isn’t covered by insurance, the only compounds that are include preparations (topical like androgen), nebido etc all of which even when subsidised are more expensive compared to TE or sustanon

I never thought I would see the day when cypionate isn’t covered, androgel, not a shocker. There is so little benefit to having insurance these days, I mean you can’t use it until you reach sick care status.

An example, months ago I told my GP that my diabetes was worsening, here I have 91 ng/dL and diabetes, as if my diabetes would stabilize at these levels, so I tell my doc that things are getting worse, he looks at my A1C from weeks ago and says levels are normal (A1C 6.6) and not in so many words get out of here.

Months later A1C is 8.3 and my health is slipping, people wonder why I hate docs so much, gee I wonder why! I was refused treatment, I can’t even get my diabetes treated without first reaching crisis events.

Welcome to sick care, healthcare is dead!
