Swapping places with a pro.
I remember reading an article a couple years ago about how jay cutler took a weak kid (with an illness) and he personalized a workout routine, nutrition, and phone support. He was able to take a wimpy kid and turn him into a huge and jacked monster. The kid was of average genetics.
I always thought of what would it be like to swap places with a pro bodybuilder. What if a IFBB pro bodybuilder could swap bodies with you. With the amount of knowledge they have for bulking, cutting for a contest, how long would it take for them to change an average man to have an amazing body? Could a pro bodybuilder in any healthy average physique body turn the person into a amateur competing bodybuilder or even near pro levels?
Now on the other hand if you were to swap places with a pro bodybuilder say a jay cutler, Ronnie Coleman. How long would you be able to maintain his physique? I would imagine in a matter of days it would be apparent that he lost quite a bit of muscle mass. How long of so-so training and your limited knowledge of nutrition would it take for a jay cutler or Ronnie to lose most of their muscle mass?
I think you’d be surprised to find out that not all pro bodybuilders have the amazing training and nutrition knowledge you might think they do from reading the muscle rags. Some are just amazingly gifted in the genetics dept, which coupled with a little boost from AAS, and a nutritional/training/drug ‘advisor’ reach some extreme levels of development. Others, are actually full of more training knowledge than most people would attribute to the average ‘meathead’, and are able to truly make the most of their genetic potential.
Still, it’s the guys at the very top that combine the best DNA with the best training approach. This is why so many morons in the gym are loaded full of anabolics yet still look like crap, and also why you can always find some guys who do everything against what has been scientifically proven to be optimal, yet still make amazing progress.
