Well, you expressed concern that you’re not “THE best”, that you wouldn’t feel comfortable at the Nationals. Just wondering how far you feel you need to go.

Maybe it’s the same guy I saw at my gym a few weeks ago. I was going to ask him why he wasn’t outside tending to the landscaping. Those gloves really helped out his cable curls and pec deck work.

Benched yesterday. Another good day. Haven’t missed a bench rep since I started this new programming. There’s a PR there in terms of no missed reps. A reason to celebrate.

Deadlifting tonight. Sumo. Looking forward to it.

Those of you who know Arachne (she blogged sporadically in the PW forum and in the O35s very briefly) please send positive thoughts her way. Her partner had a stroke this week and has been found to have tumors in the brain, lungs, and liver. A very tough time for her and her young son. Arachne is a lovely little Colorado powerlifter. Just like me.

Appreciate what you have. And train hard!

Wow, that is really sad news :frowning: I wish her strength to get through…

Got back into gear yesterday as it’s time to start phasing it in. It’s been 11 months. And it is a sad reckoning that I cannot gain so little as 5 lb. and fit into my gear. Hence the nastiness that is now my hips and thighs. I really need a custom squat suit. And when $200 falls into my lap, it shall be mine. Until then, I’m back on my muscle-building diet, which causes me to lose weight. Hmm.

Wow, those are pretty bad. When I wore gear, the deadlift suit made my traps bleed the first time I wore it.

That’s f*cking diesel. Wow. I think I’d have to give up my unit’s location to get out of that suit.

Nope. That’s my old broken-in suit. Once a suit’s nice and broken in, it’s no longer useful.

Last night finished up my accessory work that I had to bail on when the electricity went out Monday. Did RDLs (2/6/155), single leg press, single leg hammer curl, and weighted hypers (25-lb. plate behind head).

Then I did a yoga class with my daughter. That really sucked. We were both bored silly. I started watching the clock 12 minutes into the class. That’s never a good sign.

Today.

wow those are some suit bite marks…all up and down, does the suit shift or is it the leg that long down your leg? The majority of my marks are in front on quads at the seam/hem (if I’m really bloated) or on my hips…

Also found multiply briefs don’t bite as much as the centurion does…which is really nice too.
