Nice job, especially for being this early back in gear. Where were you training at Burlington GL?[/quote]
I was at the Hamilton one on Upper James. The squats really sucked though. I have a lot of work there.
I have to say the two of us got a lot of looks yesterday with Frank putting my shirt on in a corner and helping me adjust the squat suit. At one point we were both pulling at my crotch trying to get it seated properly. The squat suit, not the shirt.

That must have looked very romantic

I’m sure it looked pretty fucked up particularly when he was kind of punching me in the arm pit to get the shirt seated.
It actually felt very romantic. I’ll take a guy who will do this for me, push me and cheer me on over the guy who brings flowers. It’s also very romantic when I can sit back and cheer him on while he competes. Okay, this sounds like a romantic Disney movie. Any minute there’s going to be singing birds sewing a squat suit for me and twining ribbons around it.

Sometime I’ll have to meet up with the two of you there to train. I’m less than 5 minutes from there, so I may be able to arrange it sometime… Then I can take videos of your romantic moments! (The arm pits punches and crotch tugs, not the other ones.)

That would be fun. It’s not a bad gym and has a ton of equipment. 3 racks and 6 or so benches. The benches are really low though and I don’t love them.
I would like to update for her since I’m so happy for her.
Julie competed at the 2010 Ontario Provincials this past weekend. As a Master 1 lifter, she had a great meet and managed to take the overall Best Lifter award! She set multiple records and, most notably, took the provincial Open deadlift record for her weight class (60kg) with a 151kg pull. Congrats Julie, great lifting! See you in Quebec City in April!
