Sweet Pollyanna in LaLa land

Court and O, you guys are shitting me about really caring what that dickhead says about your collective lifting skillz vs. another girl who can double 225? I say good for her, another strong Canadian PLer. As for Mr.ChiroDick, why don’t ya’ll ask what HE can squat?

I’m very intuitive and I get the feeling you aren’t keen on our chiropractor.

You know what? I agree with you in welcoming another strong powerlifter. However, for me, hearing someone else sing the praises of another strong woman is akin to a guy telling me how hot another woman is. It just isn’t done. Unless it’s a friend. Then it’s an entirely different matter. If I don’t know them though? Meh. Whatever.

Your good LOL
I don’t like some dude playing you guys off some one else, it’s not cool.
You know me, I’m more peace and love. I’m just happy when I see girls lifting heavy shit.

Sh$t! No wonder my girlfriend’s mad at me.

PS: I’m seeing him next Friday.

I’m glad to hear that. He’ll get you sorted out. While you’re there, talk about all the hot chiropractor’s you know

Your girl friend probably isn’t as thin skinned as I am. Shit hits me the wrong way all the time.

Just call him “Tiny” as a new nickname.

Don’t start doing this until after you sleep with him.

You’re mean, I respect that.

What I find particularly interesting is that she implies ‘when’ not ‘if’. I’m not sure what that means.

Fixed that for you.

“The cheerful misanthrope” I could believe. Anything pollyanna or la la land about you is hard to stomach. Keep up the hard work.

I’m very complex. Misanthropic and pollyanna all wrapped up in one very scary package. It’s kind of like my analogy of creamy mashed potatoes laced with broken glass. Would you believe sweet and spicy?

“This thread gets two thumbs up!” - Peeper ‘n’ Groper

Friday June 5 GL Burlington

Warm up/mobility and such like that

Squat
45x10
95x5
135x5
165x3
185x3 belt
205x3 belt/wraps
225x3 belt/wraps - big, big PR for me. It wasn’t particularly tough either.
215x2x3 belt/wraps
145x7x7

I like the triples because I can play mental games with myself. If I get one rep, I just mentally talk myself into the next because it’s just another single without racking it. If I do two, what’s one more?

Bench
45x10
65x5
95x3
95x3x5 all reps paused
85x2x7 exploding off the chest

Low incline pronated DB bench
3x5x35

Face pulls
3x12x40

Behind the neck band stretches
3x12

Pull ups
10
8
7

At this point, I was still feeling full of piss and vinegar with my figurative hard on and banged out a set of 20 squats at 135.

If I’d had a guy around, he would have left my house limping and in tears… in a good way. I love Spike.

Edit: I almost forgot, my weight this morning was 124lbs.

In other news, I believe my tenant is moving out on his own recognizance. I don’t have to evict him. I received an incoherent note from him about a letter I was to have received from his brother when he was going to jail etc., etc.

I sent a note back saying he is paid up to the end of June and he can vacate by then and I wouldn’t hold him to the lease based on the fact that he has shown very poor judgment and allowed psycho cunts into the house. I phrased it much more nicely but that’s the gist. I’ve had nothing but problems with him since he moved in.

A friend of mine that I worked with for several years returned from out west last week and has been couch crashing at other people’s places. I just sent him a fb message with the whole story to see if he wanted the place for a couple of months over the summer. I’m not sure if he’d be into it since we have a bit of a history that I don’t think either one of us wants to pick back up. However, it may suit both of us in the short term.

We’ll see what he says. However, even though I have no interest in romance with him again as he’s a blues musician drama queen, he was without a doubt, one of the best lays I’ve ever had.

Great news about the tenant- I mean who can rent to psycho cunts.
And who better to have as a new tenant then a traveling musician-
the paragon of responsibility and baggage free a that!

And way to rock out that PR. That will show your chiro
great work , PR reps are like potato chips or bad tattoo’s or shots, why stop at one.

Great work!

Thanks. I’m glad to be back! Now I have to change my avatar to something bluesy instead of death metal

Yeah you better change your avatar. Particularly now that I’ve told everyone about that gifted tongue on yours.

Am I free to wonder around Lala Land?

Oh man. Don’t get me started on musician-boyfriend drama. I totally empathize. Was he a sight-reader or did he play by ear? Because emotionally they are very different. I have buckets of theories on relationships with musicians.

(I have edited this post multiple times and my edits don’t seem to show up to me, not sure if they do to the rest of the world.)
