More worried about this…
But not this, of course:

Biker Robert Sims is arraigned at Manhattan Criminal Court on Saturday. He allegedly stomped on Lien?????¢??s head and body during the attack on Alexian Lien.

I mean, bikers are such oppressed victims, right?
The guy in the photo is Edwin Mieses.

Is he being brought up on charges?

Because if not, he is a victim of getting run over…which sort of matters in how people respond later.

Just a topic for discussion…
Not really a victim of anything but his own stupidity. He put himself in front of that vehicle to hold it up while it was attacked by his fellow bikers. Might have should have seen it coming that the guy might run away when they started attacking his car. He thought the guy wouldn’t run over him to defend himself and he lost that bet.
He isn’t the one who drove in front of the suv.

He is simply one of the people the suv ran over.

Why accuse him of anything?

What did he personally do?
To be ran over, where did he have to be?? In front of the SUV. Why was he in front of the SUV so close that he couldn’t move when he saw it take off. The most probable reason is, he’s a thug and was acting like thug.
This was a group of more than 40 people…and you think everyone there should be at fault?

They had a hive mind and were all acting the same?

fuck the police

Na the ones that were way off might not have actually been involved. The guy that was so close to the front of the car that he couldn’t move when it took off, probably was playing an active role in what was going on.

You don’t understand conspiracy as a crime. When people knowingly act together in the commission of a crime, they are all essentially committing the same crime. He was blocking the people in the suv while his counterparts assaulted the vehicle, therefore- he was part of the assault and the conspiracy to commit it.

That counts for 2 charges.

Can’t you argue that at this stage the actual chase had not begun so anyone there was simply a bystander if they did not act but got hit?

It can’t be conspiracy of a crime before a crime is committed.

They had already stopped the suv at that point and had started going at the people inside, which is also a number of crimes. Otherwise, how would he have been stopped to re-start and run someone over?

The second incident where he was pulled from the vehicle and beaten is not the only thing that had happened. There was a series of events which culminated in the last one- That being the riders smashing in his windows and beating him.

Also interesting- There was an undercover narcotics officer within this group of cyclists building a case. These guys weren’t just recreational bikers out for a Sunday cruise.

LOL.

Your own narcissism has you twisting up like a pretzel to see bikers as victims.

Anybody YOU identify with MUST be being victimized!

Try worrying about the young guy who was pulled from his car and beaten into unconsciousness in front of his wife and baby.
You spend far too much time trying to psychoanalyze people you don’t know.

The events happened fast enough that someone who got run over might possibly not be involved with trying to hurt someone.

That is all I am presenting for discussion.

Trust me, you do not have me figured out at all.
Chushin wrote:

They are who I am more empathetic toward. Aside from not being nearly as evasive as that guy was, I would rain hell upon those fuckers with as vicious of intent as is humanly possible.

They were attacking like a pack of hyenas and should be treated as such.

Looks like the UC cop got collared. His charges did not appear to include the assault. I will guess he may find out a little about pack mentality if he ends up inside.

Still waiting for the media to call the driver a “white asian” to make this into more of a racial case as well.

If an innocent person were hurt was it because of the actions of the SUV driver or the actions of the bikers that caused the REaction of the SUV driver? If the crippled biker has a case it’s against his fellow bikers.
Chushin wrote:

Umm. Ok, sure.

But I’ll play along; if that’s all you mean, then no argument. But I don’t think you’ve expressed a bit of sympathy yet for the guy who got beat up in front of his family.
LOL!

Funny as hell realizing that the only reason you disagree with me…is your warped perception of who you think I am and not the subject at hand.

This discussion had nothing to do with me personally.

The fact that you made it about me is way more telling of yourself.

Stick to the topic in the future, son.

You underestimate me like most people…which usually works in my favor in the long run.

Yep. I would have been shooting if I were armed.

This post right here sums up the argument and demonstrates why it is senseless to argue this issue or numerous others. We have been enthralled with group mentality. You’re individual rights and freedoms are meaningless when compared to that of the majority. A minor inconvenience to you is to be expected if the alternative is to ask 50 others to respect the freedom of the individual.

If you see 50 people in a tyrannical majority, just pull over, bow down to them, and worship their feet. The majority is always more important than your liberties.

Disclaimer: Most bikers are safe, considerate drivers and ride in groups respectively. But those of us that are on the roads on a regular basis run into (not literally, no pun intended) moronic motorcyclists on a regular basis. I would really prefer not to ever kill someone while I am behind the wheel, but when they routinely put themselves inches in front of me at 70+mph during rush hour, it very well may happen. It is not the responsibility of the trailing vehicle to slow down for motorcyclists, it is the responsibility of the motorcyclist to make sure they are a sufficient distance ahead of me before changing lanes.
I haven’t looked at this thread until today, but that is a great post.

Fuck this fucking noise…

I dont drive a motorcycle but I drive my 2005 Toyota Sienna Minivan on these roads on a daily basis…

THESE FUCKERS do not care who you may have in your vehicle…for these fucking pussies strength is in numbers and one thing that gets them off is intimidating fellow motorists…I can say with no hesitation they can all fuck themselves. When IN LARGE NUMBERS LIKE THAT they OWN THE ROAD and do not CARE about what precious commodity you may have in your vehicle (i.e. children)

I dont know about anyone else but in MY CITY, most overwhelmingly agree that these fucktards got what they deserved.

The fucking guy slowed down in front of SUV so other bikes could pass so they could do some bullshit tricks…

This post is brought to you by personal experience and anger…

I don’t know how you feel about it, but if someone is doing something which is or creates a direct threat to me, taking them out is fair game.

Those dudes would be getting bumper checked into jersey barriers.
