Seems to be a fair amount of cross-over in the ingredients. Although Igniter is not available yet, I’m curious how the two should be used together or as a substitute. I take a caffeine pill in the morning so that added low-cost ingredient is not really relevant.
Surge has carbs, while igniter is similar to more widely available pre-workout formulas (no carbs, but with caffeine).
Surge, to me, is great as both a pre/intra workout and a calorie source for my morning workouts. If you want to train without the carbs or already had fueled up and just want the caffeine boost plus the other array of pump-inducing ingredients, looks like Igniter would be the way to go.
I workout first thing in the morning and sometimes do a pre workout and Surge ![]()
*Bump* now that Ignite is out and I haven’t seen an official response on how to use Ignitor and Surge together (or not).
I use Surge and like it. I ordered Ignite to give it a try. Maybe alternate days.
Linking to Chris Shugart’s reply here too for anyone looking for an answer.
My plan is to use both as directed (one scoop of Igniter for me). Yes, there’s some overlap with betaine, beta-alanine, and citrulline malate, but nothing would be excessive for most people. Some might get a slight, temporary tingling sensation on the skin from the beta-alanine.
