Surge Recovery Pre-Workout?

Is this a good idea. I have done only postworkout with two scoops. I also add 1 scoop of lecine and protein which is my other question. I have read the an article where too much protein postworkout is counterproductive. Should I take out the whey protein postwork? Can I take Surge Recovery pre or post or both?

the supplements that I am on is

preworkout: LOw gycemic index food carbs with 2 scoops whey plus lecuine,3 bcaas tablets pre, during, post
Postworkout: 2 scoops of Surge Recovery and 1 scoop(20 gram) whey protein shake.

Any help or comments would be helpfull.

Yes a lot of authors on this site now recommend your carbs pre workout.

My advice would be to have your Surge pre workout then your other source of protein during.

So should I eat a high gycemic index or low pre?

My current cheap-o protocol (for cutting):

2 scoops SURGE Recovery 30 min pre-WO
Sip 20 grams of whey + 5g glutamine during the WO

It’s very individual. Depends on your goals. If you’re trying to gain weight just drink a SURGE shake before and after.

alright then I would forget what I know about post workout. the 20 gram protein shake isnt that counterproductive because of too much protein or is that info obsolete?

Have half a serving of Surge Recovery 10-15 minutes before training and consume the rest during training.

Then have you protein shake within 30 minutes of the workout and follow with a meal 30 to 60 minutes later. A drink with 20 grams of protein is fine.

My PWO shake consists of 2 scoops of protein powder, 1 scoop of Surge Recovery, a cup of berries and Glutamine…

I wouldn’t change this for the world…

Thanks is taking bcaa’s pre, during, post okey and will it throw off ratios?

That’s not an issue, but I don’t believe that you’re using enough BCAA to make a difference. You’d probably be better served taking all 9 BCAA tablets prior to training. However, since Biotest Surge is already high in BCAA, taking BCAA tablets at another time of day might make more sense.

As for ratios throwing things off, when it comes to nutrients, I don’t believe the body recognizes ratios. It’s more important to make sure the minimum amount of a substance required is available to have a specific effect in the body.
