Supplements for Endurance/Fartlek Work

I’m looking for supplements to help perform better throughout the week doing intense running and bodyweight training sessions usually in the form of fartlek. Like run 2 miles then do 50 pushups, run another 2 miles and do 20 burpees, run a mile uphill, then do starjumps… At this point I can only afford 1 more supplement. Maybe by next month I’ll be able to do more but right now its just 1.

I already take a Lean 100% Whey Protein with BCAA in it and plan to continue doing so.

Alpha-GPC sounds like if I take it before starting it might give the extra boost to improve run times and the strength training we do. Could be wrong though since it does say Fast-Twitch Muscle Fibers.

HOT-ROX sounds like it would help lower my body fat which of course makes it easier to do things like run and burpees and whatnot.

Rez-V specifically says it helps Cardiovascular work which would be nice but I haven’t seen this name floating around in the forums or articles as much as some other supplements so not sure why that is.

I’m also going to switch from the current protein powder I’m taking to Surge Recovery when I run out.

Thanks for any advice.

p.s. someone with knowledge of them all should make a sticky thread covering the basic uses and purpose of each for beginners because honestly some of the things in the store read like infomercials.

You’ll learn about them all in time. Just stick to the basics till you do. The Surge products and Metabolic Drive is a good start.

I just had surgery and tryin Curcumin 500. I don’t know if it’s helping yet b/c it’s only been a week and just had my first workout back yesterday.

The DOMS in my legs is phenomenal right now and I’m looking for all the help I can get. I’m hurtin bad.

Rez-V is proven to increase endurance.

Cold-Fx.

You can thank me later.

Surge Workout Fuel should be #1 on your list considering your objectives.

FAQ on Actovegin Not sure if itâ??s legal or not, or if itâ??s safe but Lance Armstrong and his team were accused of using it so that must mean it works. According to this article it sounds pretty useful/powerful and is non-hormonal seemingly. Comes from calfâ??s blood. WTF?? How bad can that be though? I dunno anything about the stuff. Just thought Iâ??d share.

Also there are other legal herbs that boost VO2 max like ashwagandha.

Never tried Cold-FX but it’s probably similar to a good ashwagandha.

There are two things with Surge Workout Fuel.

  1. I thought it was designed to be taken during the workout? We leave our water bottles in one place and then run for miles so I wouldn’t take it until after the workout.

  2. Even more importantly I was under the impression that at the moment its not being sold?

hmm I’m reading about Ashwagandha but nothing says anything about it boosting VO2 max? Where have you read this?

It’s not uncommon for some athletes to primarily consume Surge Workout Fuel primarily prior to training and/or competition.

One to two servings prior to training should have a noticeable effect on your performance.

It is out of stock, but should be available in a week or two.
