Supplement Stack Please Critique?

first off this forum is amazing, also on bodybuilding.com’s forum where no one helps…thanks

current supplementation
am-fishoil(2capsules) opti men multivitamin
1 hour preworkout-No2, imo waste of money once the bottle is done, im going to switch to arginine tablets
pre/during workout-one serving of Surge mixed with creatine, sip 1/2 during, slam the rest after workout
Pm-1 serving of Metabolic Drive low carb, along with 2 more fishoil capsules

currently i am trying to gain muscle while loose some abdominal fat…is this stack a good idea for my goals?
im an ecto/endomorph(5’9" 24yrs old 140lbs) i can loose weight pretty easily, but also carry more that i would like around my midsection

any diet info, or supp info is appreciated

Your diet (and not the supplements you take) will be primarily responsible for any fat loss or muscle gain.
You sure you want to lose weight? 140 at 5’9 isn’t very much to begin with. I’d recommend posting your diet for critiquing, so we can see exactly what you’re eating and point you in the right direction.
Although as a general rule of thumb, all you need to do in order to gain weight and lean down is eat lots of clean foods (lean meat, veggies, essential fats, no processed stuff) as often as you can while lifting big and allowing yourself time to rest. Eat your carbs around breakfast and pre/post workout, while reducing intake as the day goes on.
Remember, supplements aren’t responsible for drastic changes in body comp - your diet is.

That being said, you could change up your supplement lineup a bit - fish oil and a multi are good, but the nos maximizers are a total waste of money. as are the arginine tabs; arginine is conditionally essential and therefore not as important as BCAAs (leucine, isoleucine, and valine). If you want tablets, get some Biotest BCAAs. I’d also take more than one serving of Metabolic Drive at once, 'cause 1 scoop isn’t really that much. I’d also increase the doses of fish oil - if it’s regular fish oil, try to get a dose in every meal. If it’s Flameout, then a dose in the morning and one at night should be fine.

Breakfast * Bowl of porridge * 1 scoop whey w milk* Coffee or tea *

Mid Morning * Protein Shake * banana

Lunch * Peanut butter sandwichcottage cheeseapple

Pre Workout no2

During Workout * Surge 1/2

After Workout * 1/2 Surge w/creatine

Dinner * 8oz top round steak * Large salad or steamed vegetables * 1 large red potato

Evening * Casein Protein Shake *

Hmm. Regardless of your goals, looks like your diet might need some cleaning up. You definitely need a lot more protein and maybe some good dietary fats. You mentioned fish oil earlier; definitely take that with meals, and include some olive/macadamia/coconut oil as well.

If you really want an effective way of losing fat, just go on a competition diet (you could probably adjust these templates to your needs): www.animalpak.com/html/sections.cfm?id=39

If you’re looking for something less extreme, there are many great templates on this site. You could follow USCTrojan619’s diet from the physique clinic (off the front page). Because you’re both ectomorphs and weigh about the same, you wouldn’t really need to adjust the diet he posts.

Anyway, hope that answers your question. I’d recommend following USCTrojan619’s diet from the physique clinic because it’s pretty doable and will help establish good eating habits.

thanks ghost, appreciate the feedback

i am somewhat following this pland
www.bulkingforectomorphs.com

No problem.

Just skimmed through the book and most of the theory/reasoning behind the author’s work is good - definitely useful to get an idea of how things work.

If you’re going to make MRPs in accordance with the book’s recipies, try not to have them as the last few meals of the day; carbs at night aren’t such a great idea.
Everything else is sound; i’m just leery of the training split - doing bench and squatting on the same day is very tiring; i’d give each big lift its own day. That’s just me, though.

Good luck, man. Again, I’d recommend the Physique Clinic template. But whatever you pick, make sure you stick to the program 100%. Adding things you think might work typically isn’t such a good idea; don’t “somewhat follow” the plan - follow it to the letter.

consider it done whichever method i choose
thanks again, really appreciate
